Emergency Room

Friday afternoon the kids and I decided to get out our Christmas decorations while Tyler hung the lights. We got everything done and ate dinner. Tyler and I were cleaning up the kitchen when Britton decided to reach up and grab our big, heavy snow globe. (I can't tell you how many times we told him if he wanted to listen to it to let us know and we would help him with it) It came crashing down onto the kitchen floor and SHATTERED everywhere. Luckily Britton got out of the way and just got splashed with water and glitter. Tyler and I got the kids out of the way and started cleaning up the glass. All of a sudden Shayna started screaming, as I was throwing away some glass she came out of no where and grabbed the broken snow globe, I didn't even know she was there, I thought she was still with Britton in another room, anyway she said she wanted to see the switch on the snow globe so she tried picking it up and sliced her finger. Fortunately it wasn't that bad and she just needed to get it glued and bandaged. I need to invest in Dermabond so I can stop going to the emergency room. I'm going to do the gluing myself next time.

Thanksgiving

I can't believe it, I forgot my camera....I am so MAD!! O'well, we had a lot of fun anyway. We had Thanksgiving with Tylers family, we ate at Jim and Merilyn's home and 55 people showed up and that wasn't everybody, some family members didn't get to make it. After dinner we drove to Logan to a Indoor soccer facility that the family rented. The girls played against each other on one field and the boys played against each other on the other field. I am so sore, I knew I was out of shape but this is ridiculous. There was also a climbing wall which Britton and Shayna loved. I was impressed with how high Britton would climb with no support, he's just like his Dad. We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, we sure did!

Congratulations Tyler!!!

Tyler is finally done with school, WAHOO! We are so proud of him. The kids and I decorated the house as a surprise for him. We wanted him to know how much we appreciate and love him. He has sacrificed a lot and we are so happy that he will not have to be gone for months at a time now. Notice the wall with the T's. According to Britton we have to put the T's on the wall so Tyler will know the decorations are for him.....Makes sense to me. Tyler has his first student on Monday November 26th. (yes I am very nervous) Good luck Ty!

A trip to the Condo

I have some catching up to do, I am behind because I have been out of town. I had to go to Albuquerque, New Mexico for a work conference. Anyway, the weekend of the 9th we went to my parents condo and took the kids out to see some Indian writing and shoot their guns. We had a lot of fun. Here are some of the pictures from the event.

Shayna decided that shooting the gun was not her idea of fun, she sat in the car and plugged her ears. Once the gun was put away she was out climbing on the rocks.

Antelope Island

We took the kids to Antelope Island yesterday for a Picnic with my parents. We got there just in time to watch the rounding of the bulls. I can't believe how big they are. I took a lot of pictures of the bulls but this one was the cutest.

Here are the kids having their picnic, they were too cold to sit at the picnic table so we put them in the back of the car. It was a little too breezy that day.

Shayna is pretending to be a monster, the back of the tahoe is her cave. What an imagination.

As you can see the kids can't get enough of their Dad. They have been so happy to have him home.

Ride 'em cowboy. These pictures are taken at the Ranch on Antelope Island, they have a little hands on museum. Your kids are allowed to touch anything they want.

These are my two favorite pictures of the day. The first one is with my Dad sitting on a sheep wagon. My Grandpa Turner had a sheep wagon when I was younger. I used to love to play in it. My Cousin and I would always sleep in it when we went to visit Grandpa. The picture of the kids is them watching a little creek in front of them. They are so cute, I love moments like this.

Halloween

Here are some random pictures of the kids. We had a lot of fun this year, mostly because the kids were so excited. My mom and Dad came over on Halloween and we had pizza and took the kids Trick or Treating while shane stayed at my house to hand out candy....his favorite thing to do.

Britton's Kindergarten Halloween Party

Britton's class had their Kindergarten Halloween Party. Britton was soooo mad that the school was not allowing anybody to wear masks. It took a lot of convincing to get him to go to school. It ended up being was of his favorite days!
