Britton Karate/Shayna back to school night

Last night Britton had is Karate test to move up a belt. He was really nervous this time and was afraid he didn't know it well enough. When we got there he calmed down a bit and did a really good job. I didn't get very many pictures because I was nervously watching his every move to make sure he was doing it right and Tyler was busy filming it. We don't get to find out until next week if he passed, but I don't think we need to worry about it because he did awesome!

I had to take this picture because it cracks me up. This is one of their stretching exercises and Britton does it so funny. See the kid next to him in the white shirt, that's how it is supposed to be done. Notice Britton is lifting his leg, he does this every time and of course I laugh every time. Britton you are too cute!

As for Shayna it was back to school night. We left Brittons Karate a little early so we could make it on time. She got to play with the kids that will be in her class while the parents sat and listened to the Rules and Policies. This is the second year she will be in preschool and she is so excited. She starts next Tuesday. I can't believe how fast they are growing up!

Hilda's bath

It was time for Hilda to have another bath. Britton and Shay asked if we could take pictures and put it on the blog. Yes, this is the highlite of our weekend. So here it is.....Hilda's bath!

Happy Birthday Dad!!

Dad's Birthday was actually on Tuesday but we celebrated it yesterday. My Mom, Dad and Brother came over to my house and we opened presents and had dinner.

Here he is opening a present from Britton. Britton even wrapped it himself.

This is the card Britton made. Papa is fishing under a rainbow and a cloud and sun, you can even see the fish is the river. So cute!! (I have no idea why it is turned this way, I can't get it to go normal)

My Mom took Shay to get balloons for Papa for his Birthday, she picked them out all by herself. Papa loved them and did indeed have a magical Birthday.

In other news......

Tuesday Morning I was getting ready for work and I heard a terrible screeching noise. I thought something was wrong with my cat so I went searching for her. I realized that the noise was coming from my back yard so I went outside and saw two Golden Eagles on my neighbors roof.

6:00 AM Two very noisy birds. They got louder when I walked outside.

I haven't seen the birds since this day but we hear them a lot.

Chance in town = FUN

Chance came to town this weekend and when Chance is around there is always fun to be had. Saturday we started off with a lunch Bar-b-Q, after lunch the kids wanted to play with their water balloons that we bought and it soon turned in to a BIG water fight between Chance and the kids. The pool took a lot of abuse as you can tell. I was holding the camera so I couldn't get wet, I thought it was a good excuse anyway. The water fight lasted about two hours and I have tons of pictures but decided to only post a few. I didn't post any pictures of the balloon throwing but if you look closely you can see the balloons all over the grass. Here are the highlights.

After the water fight we thought it would be fun to get ready for the day and go bowling.

Britton and Shayna love to bowl and Britton is so good about helping her. Britton bowls all by himself with no help. Once Shay found a ball that was light enough for her to carry she got rid of the "contraption" and bowled all by herself too. It so nice to not have to help so much, it was definitely alot more fun.

This is Britton and Shay's score. I think they did pretty darn good. They used bumpers but still.

That night we ended with Karaoke, beer and a scary movie. What more could you ask for.

Sunday the kids were bored so we made sugar cookies. I wasn't going to take pictures because I have so many pictures of us making cookies but Shayna was having a rough day and was full of attitude. I don't have many pictures of Shay having attitude, usually I'm to upset with her to think about grabbing the camera, so I decided I was going to capture those moments. So here it, isn't she precious.

I just love that girl....attitude and all.

And here is Britton, enjoying the fact that he is not the one in trouble.
