Where does she get it?

I'm starting to wonder if maybe I talk weird. Do I not pronunciate when I speak? Am I so lazy in my speech that I sound all slurry? I don't get where she gets it, but it sure makes me laugh!

Shayna once again had a mispronunciation. Last night we were in the bathroom and I was helping her brush her teeth. She asked me if she could use some of Daddy's mouth wash. I told her yes so she went to the cupboard to get it out. She so desperately wanted to get it open herself. After grunting and moaning and turning red in the face from trying to twist so hard. She looked at me with an exasperated face and said,

"WHY DOES EVERYTHING HAVE TO BE CHILD PROOTH? JUST ONCE CAN'T THEY MAKE SOMETHING ADULT PROOTH".

I just laughed and asked her if she needed help.

Another soccer post!

Britton had another indoor soccer game on Saturday. I didn't take any pictures or record any of the game. I wasn't planning on doing another post about this subject but Britton played so well I just couldn't help myself. Britton was a scoring machine, he made 5 goals! One of his goals was so cool to watch, he took the ball almost the whole length of the field and was weaving in and out of the players on the other team and kicked it right in. Awesome! And his team WON!! Tyler and I don't sit together at the games, he is always down with Jonny helping with the team, we just look at each other and smile and shake our heads. This kid is unbelievable and it came out of nowhere. HUGE difference just from summer outdoor to now. The older Britton gets the more fun I am having watching him. I can't believe how is skills are developing. The kid plays soccer non stop. He is out with his buddy's during recess playing soccer in the snow, he comes home everyday soaked and muddy (laundry has been a pain and we have lost some shirts to mud stains) and he plays in the basement everyday (his kick is getting harder so I might have to put a stop to that pretty soon....my poor walls) and he even plays soccer on the Wii. I can't wait until next weeks game. I am really loving this!

I know I brag a lot but I can't help it. I am just so proud!

Indoor Soccer

Britton had his first ever indoor soccer game. The kid did awesome. He scored two goals and was so excited about it. As were we! I was recording him playing during both of the goals so we have them on video and he loves to watch it. He really is becoming a very good player but can we say COCKY! Just ask him he will let you know that he is the best! Britton's two cousins Beckham and Sonny are on the team with him and his Uncle Jonny is the coach. It makes it so fun to watch the game because no matter what there is always someone out on the field to cheer for. I can't wait until next Saturday. I have so much fun watching these boys!

I had a great Birthday this year. Thanks Mom, Dad, Tyler, Britton, Shayna, Shane and Grandma for all of the gifts, I LOVE everything I got and you guy's all made my day special.

2nd Grade spelling bee

Yet again, we are so proud of Britton. He entered his 2nd grade classroom spelling bee and took FIRST PLACE!! Good work Buddy we are SO proud of you and love you SO much!

A Birthday and a Fight?

Jonny and Heather invited us to Paisley's 5th Birthday! It was at the Classic fun center and of course the kids had a BLAST!





The party lasted a little longer then we planned for and Tyler and I still had a lot to do to get ready for everyone to show up for the big fight so we left the kids with Heather, Jonny and Bradley and headed home. They showed up about 2 hours later.

While the adults watched the fights the kids played. And though I didn't take many pictures I couldn't resist these next two.

For Christmas Shayna got a hair coloring kit. Pink and Blue, so the girls asked if they could do it and they are the prettiest punked out girls I have ever seen.

New Years Day!

It's New Years Day and I got the rest I needed so I'm ready for the fun to begin again. We wanted to do something that the kids would enjoy, Shane included, so we went bowling.





And Britton kicked our butts.

I also must say that this is Tyler's worst game EVER!! I have never seen him bowl that terrible. It made me feel pretty good about my skills.

Later that night our friend Kip and his Son Caden came from Moab to visit us and watch the fights that are going on this weekend. We decided to bust out the wii fit and see how Dad could do.

He only needed a little bit of help from Kip to keep his balance. We were all laughing so hard. Apparently the wii and alcohol don't mix.

Kolay had to be to the airport EARLY the next morning so Jordan and Kolay stayed with us too which is always a good time.
