Where does the time go? They grow up too fast. Britton wanted a dinosaur party this year and it turned out really good I think. The boys all had a lot of fun and Britton got some really neat gifts.
I wanted to put dinosaurs on top of the cupcakes, that way everyone could have a cup cake and a dinosaur to take home. I ordered the dinosaurs and when we got them they were HUGE. No way were they going to fit on top of the cupcake so we just displayed them with the cupcakes and the boys picked out which dino they wanted.
We decorated the house with all of Britton's dino's.
This was Britton's display. He did it all by himself. They are all fighting and one is about to fall down the waterfall to the big dino. I thought it was very clever so I left it. The boys thought it was cool....of course they would.
Most of the presenta before being opened.
All of the boys were pretending that Hilda (the cat) was a Velociraptor.
Having lunch before opening gifts. I told the kids the punch was dinosaur blood. Boy was that a hit.
Britton has been begging for a Real Salt Lake jersey. We got him one for his Birthday and he has not wanted to take it off. He loves it!
The dinosaur pinata. Also a lot of fun!
Shayna and Mckye. They stayed in Shay's bedroom and made up dances and put on every different out fit and socks they could find while the party was going on.
Grandma and Grandpa Turner gave Britton a bike for his birthday.
Shayna was in desperate need of a new bike so she got one too.
We have been going on two and three mile bike rides since the kids got their new bikes. I love it!
Thank you to every one for the gifts, Britton had a great day.

Memorial Weekend
Memorial weekend didn't start off very fun this year. We got a phone call saying that my Cousin Jeff had passed away in a work related accident. We had plans to go to my parents condo so I just grabbed some funeral worthy outfits for everyone and away we went.
Before heading up the mountain to the condo we stopped at my Aunt Margaret and Uncle Jimmy's house (Jeff's parents, My Dads sister). Chance was there and my kids were so excited to see him. They also love the horse tire swing.
Although it was cold we took the kids fishing. They caught so many fish. Tyler would be taking a fish off of Britton's hook and Shayna would catch one and then vise verse. Tyler was very busy!
Apparently Ty's pants couldn't take all the squatting that comes with fishing.
In Tyler's defense these pants were getting thin. Don't worry Ty, your not fat!
Shayna loved the worm's, she loves anything that crawls and slithers (she must not be mine), She thought it was great that they would keep moving even after being torn in half. Gross I know, I just got the chills typing it.
We were hoping for some warmer weather so we took the kids out on the desert for a picnic, it was still cold and very windy. But the fire was a success and we all enjoyed spending time together.
My kids absolutely fell in love with Debbi. When we found out about Jeff she flew in to town so she could go to the funeral. She rode down to the condo with us and was able to spend the whole weekend with us. Debbi was pulled into two different directions all weekend. Both of my kids wanted all of her attention. Thanks for being such a trooper Debbi. We love you!!
The best part of the weekend was the tricycle races. Debbi keep an eye out for your video, I've got to get you a copy. You really should consider Americas funniest home videos.
This squirrel was right out side of the condo all weekend. Britton and Shayna love to give him peanuts. If he is smart about food storage he should already be set for the winter.
Jeff's funeral was Tuesday so not a very fun ending to the weekend, but all in all we had a great time.
Jeff I never thought I would say this, but I am really going to miss the whisker burns. Love you!

Thomas the train.
Last night we went to Heber City to go on Thomas the Train. This has become our tradition and the kids love it. Thanks again Mom and Dad for taking us. We love you!
Showing off the Tattoos. Shane makes me laugh. While the kids were getting their tattoos of Thomas characters, Shane decided he wanted some too. We had to wait extra long for the girl to become available to give Shane his tattoo because he wouldn't let a boy do it. We all got a good laugh out of that.
of course we had to go to the petting zoo. For some reason I think this is really gross so I always make Tyler go in with them.
And this pretty girl is 7 weeks old.
I just have to express how proud we are of Shayna for taking this picture. She is absolutely terrified of anybody in costume. Even the princesses in Disneyland. Notice Tyler off to the side with the huge grin. We seriously couldn't believe it.
She sure loves her Uncle Shane.
Thank you Mom and Dad for treating us to dinner as well. You are truly the BEST!!

Preschool graduation!
I can't believe my baby is on her way to Kindergarten. Today was her Preschool Graduation. I didn't get many pictures because I was so busy filming it. They had the cutest program with songs and each kid got their own speaking part. One of the kids wasn't able to make it so they gave his part to Shay so she had two speaking parts. She did such an amazing job. She walked up to the microphone and said what she had to say loud and clear. She does not take after me at all. I am so proud of her, it was so hard to keep myself from crying.
After the program they were given their diplomas. Miss Michelle (the teacher) gave Shayna the nicest letter and a DVD with pictures of all the things they did through the year. It was definitely a tearjerker. Miss Michell did an amazing job and I am truly going to miss having my kids go to her.
Congrats little Miss, you make us proud!!

The dreaded haircut....
I say dreaded because I absolutely, Positively, most definitely did not want this to happen. I wanted Britton to grow his hair out. It was getting so cute but he HATED it and begged me for weeks to cut it. I finally gave in and let Tyler buz it off. It's a good cut for the summer so maybe I can talk him in to growing it out during the winter.....wish me luck!
He's still cute!!

Shayna's Dance Recital
Shayna had her dance Recital. She did a great job! I'm so proud of her. She is in a class with older girls, everyone is so big compared to her but she doesn't let that intimidate her at all. She is the leader of the class and everyone loves her.
This is at home getting ready to go.
On stage.
She loves the stage, she was really disappointed when it was over. She wasn't quit ready to leave the spotlight.
Here she is posing on our way to the car.
These are all of the flowers she received from everyone that came. She thought that was the coolest thing. Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa Turner, Great Grandma Donna and Uncle Shane for coming and supporting Shay!
All of the flowers is the vase. What a loved little girl.
