Barrell Racing
This weekend my Cousin Toni (Chance and Blake's Mom) was in town for Barrel racing so we took the kids to watch her. She did really well, I am always impressed with how much she knows about horses and how well she rides, it really is amazing. We call her the Horse Whisperer.

In between her rides she let the kids ride around on her horse, This horses name is Tater. We were laughing because Shay's hair and the horse are the exact same color. Shayna loved that!

Good bye for now Chance.....you will be missed.
So Chance's job has ended and it is time for him to return home. Sigh. But it was fun while it lasted. We had a going away party for him at my house on Friday night. I made french dip sandwiches, they were very yummy. Once the party started it became apparent that we would be having a slumber party as well. Here are some of the highlights of the night.

Jonny and his two kids Beckham and Mckye came. Here is Jonny playing leap frog with the kids.
Tyler getting kisses from Shayna and Mckye. What a spoiled boy!
Let the party begin....Ha Ha, the lid is still on, what a trickster.
I'm not exactly sure what is going on here, I'm not sure I want to know. What I do know is that I ended up having a very sticky floor and a broken glass.....good times!

Again, not sure whats going on, but thought this was a cute picture of the boys. Tyler, Chance and Blake.

Just a couple of random shots. Blakes a little camera shy, I had to sneak pictures of him when I could. As you can tell, Chance is not shy, he's pretty much the life of the party.....all the time!
After dinner and a few Margareta's we headed down stairs for some Karaoke.

Britton even put on a performance for us. He sang Shadow of the day by Lincoln Park, He knows every word, it's so cute!
Britton and Beckham....aren't they the cutest!!
This ended up being a very fun but very long night. My parents and Shane went home about 11:00. Shayna fell asleep around that time and I had to beg Britton to go to sleep at Midnight. He didn't want to stop playing with Beckham and Mckye who were both still going strong. After Britton finally fell asleep I went to bed at 1:00 and Tyler came to bed around 4:30. What crazy people, there is no way I would have lasted that long. We ended up having Jonny, Beckham, Mckye, Blake, Chance and Kelly sleep over. I got up at 8:30 with the kids and made breakfast, cleaned the house and bathed the kids before anybody else rolled out of bed at 11:00. Needless to say I was the only one that felt rejuvenated that morning.

Bragging Rights
So I figure since I am a Mom that gives me the right to bragg. Today I am going to Brag about Shayna. I am so proud of her. Yesterday my Mom and Dad took Shay to her Ballet class and her ballet teacher said they are going to move her up a level. Right now she is in a class with three and four year olds but her teacher feels that that perticular class is holding her back. They want to put her in with the five year olds, they feel her accomplishments go beyond what she could learn in her current class. They also only offer Jazz classes to five year olds but they want Shayna to join because she would be a great asset to their Jazz team. WOW!! I'm one proud Mommy. What's even better then that is she LOVES it. She only takes lessons on Tuesdays and on Wednesday she is asking me when she gets to go back, everyday she asks "is it this day that I get to go to ballet". Way to go Shay, we are all so proud of you, You are naturally amazing in every way!

Happy Birthday Shayna
FRIDAY
This weekend we celebrated Shayna's Birthday in Moab. I had to get one last picture of her showing how she does the number three. I am going to miss that, it's so cute!
When we got to Grandma Donna's house we made a Birthday dinner and decorated cupcakes.
Then Shayna got to open her presents. She got some movies and edible bracelets from Uncle Shane.
She also got Lego's
a princess keyboard
A hug and a wig from Britton
A cute Cinderella outfit
and a castle
And then the kids slept in the castle and LOVED it!
SATURDAY
The Birthday Celebration Continues......
Tyler's sister owns a family fun center in Moab so we had a Birthday party for Shay there. They got to ride on the swing, play laser tag and ride the go carts. I didn't get pictures of the go carts because Tyler and I were always in the cars with the kids so I have to get my mom's camera from her. When I do I will post the pictures.
These are my cousins kids, they live in Moab...LUCKY!
Brook, Bruin, Britton and Shayna. Brook was a little upset and didn't want to let go of her Dad's hand....So cute.
This is Britton, Tatum and Shayna. Tatum is our niece, her parents are the one's that own the family fun center, I wish I would have gotten a picture of Derek and Shelley but of course I didn't.
My cousins happened to be camping in Moab the same weekend we were there so we decided to go to their campsite for a visit and continue the Birthday celebration there. We took the kids hiking and they loved it. Shayna is so brave, we couldn't take our eye off of her for one second, if we did she would be half way up some crazy boulder. She is a good climber but has yet to understand the dangers of it. Britton is an awesome climber too, he just needs to learn to be a little more sure of himself. We plan on taking them a lot more often now. We had so much fun! I love the age that they are at. I wish we could freeze them and make them stay this age forever!!
They kept asking me to take pictures of them. I loved it!
Coby, Kiana, Shane, Dusty. It was so good to see my cousins, I love hanging out with them, we always have so much fun.
SUNDAY
We took the kids hiking again before we had to come home. YUCK! The weather was beautiful and we couldn't stand the thought of driving home. These pictures are at the Ranch. My family used to own this land but sold it in the early 90's. Something that is still very bitter with some family members. It's beautiful country and I really enjoyed going back for a visit.
And here is my beautiful girl. She is four now and all grown up.....what is a mother to do.
