Vacation

Tyler was able to come home for two weeks. I took a week off of work so that we could all go for one last vacation before school starts and Ty heads back to Prescott. We just recently learned that he will be there until December. If anybody wants to mow my lawn now and shovel my snow later let me know. I don't pay but I would be willing to bring you out a beverage. I'm sure there will be a lot of takers so don't feel bad if you just don't have the time....

Anyway, Tyler got in town on Monday. Britton has been wanting to go to the new Transformers movie so Tyler and Britton went to that and Shayna and I went to get her hair cut, then we went shopping for new backpacks and we went to dinner at Applebees, Shay's choice. It was so much fun to be able to have little dates with our kids. I want to do that more often. Tuesday we spent all day at surf and swim. Then on Wednesday we took the kids to the condo and had a blast. We fished, hiked, pic-nic'd, partied and relaxed. I loved every minute of it.

Shay, Gage and Britton. I have not seen Shay since he was eight years old. It was nice spending time with him. Now that he is eighteen he has chosen to live with his Dad so now we will get to see him a lot more often.

I love to watch Britton reel in the fish. It is so funny!

Shayna loves to help clean the fish and play with the guts...YUCK!!

At Puffer lake there is so many abandoned cabins. I thought it would be fun to take pictures by them.

Shayna was a little scared of them. Anytime the wind would blow a little the shutters on this cabin would slam. Tyler told Shay that witches lived in them....hmmm, I wonder why she was scared.

I have no idea where these chairs came from but Shayna thought they should go in the cabin.

This is were we went for our pic-nic. It was beautiful and the kids were entertained for hours with the stream.

Someone fell in.....I won't say who!

We also went to the desert to play. The kids got to drive and catch frogs. What's more fun then that?

Drinking and Driving?

Friday was my Mom's Birthday. Happy Birthday Mom, you are the BEST! We love and appreciate you so much! I took bunch of pictures and only two worked out. And they look terrible.

I wanted to hike down to this waterfall so bad. Tyler was a good sport and went with me. I'm so glad he did, I wouldn't have made it with out him. It was so much steeper and longer then it looked. I totally fell down at one point. It's good thing there were a bunch of flowers and bushes to grab onto or else I would have been down the river. I was insanely sore for three days after this. I think it's time to hit the gym.

My vacation is over and summer is coming to a close. It makes me so sad. I don't feel like we have had much of a summer this year and I DO NOT want my kids to go back to school. Is that weird? I'm just not ready.

RSL soccer clinic

I heard about a free soccer clinic that RSL was putting on so I signed the kids up. They were so excited, especially when they found out that a RSL player was going to show up for autographs.

The coaches would show them what to do and then they would have to do the drill. Shay was really nervous. She thought it was going to be hard for her. But it wasn't, she did a great job and had a ton of fun!

When they were done with the drills they split the kids up and played a little game. Britton and Shayna happened to get on the same team.

Chris Agorsor, the new forward for RSL, is the one who showed up for autographs. After he got done signing stuff for the kids I asked him if he would let me take a picture of him with the kids. He was so nice and posed with them. He even talked with the kids for a bit. We are very excited to cheer for him in the future!

Shayna's first soccer practice EVER!!

Shayna has been wanting to try soccer. We signed her up a while ago but I never thought she would actually like it. Her very first practice was last Thursday. Every one showed up to support her. She was so excited!

She is the only one on her team that has never played before. She was able to do all of the drills with ease. I guess all the soccer she has been playing with Britton has really helped.

She is definitely the fasted runner.

I'm so excited to see how she does at the games. Her first game is August 30th. I know she will do really well. Good luck Shay we love you!

Park City Extreme Tournament

This last weekend was a very exciting time. Britton had a tournament in Park City and Tyler came home...yeah!!! Ty had to miss Britton's first game. He got in late Thursday evening. Britton's team played one game on Thursday, which ended in a tie. Then they played two games on Friday, both ended in a tie. If they would have won one of those games they would have advanced and played on Saturday. Friday was also my Dad's Birthday. It was so nice of him to spend the day with us on the Soccer field.

We were lucky enough to stay in Park City for the 2 days that they played. It was really nice to get to relax by the pool after games. And we got to eat out a lot which is always fun!

Grandma Donna came to support Britton as well. It was so much fun having her there. I love you Grandma!!

Since the kids didn't get to advance on Saturday we let the kids swim for a bit then we packed up and headed home. Tyler was pretty antsy to get home. He hadn't been home for three weeks and was looking forward to relaxing.

Saturday evening we went over to my Parents house to celebrate Dad's Birthday. He was kind enough to cook his Birthday dinner for all of us....Haha! Happy Birthday Dad, We really do love you!

Tyler had to leave early Sunday morning to head back to Prescott. It was a quick trip..too quick. I can't wait to see you again Tyler, whenever that will be.

I feel like now that summer is coming to an end we have such a busy schedule. Why is that? Isn't it usually during the Summer that you feel like you can't slow down. Britton has Soccer games, practices, scrimmages, tournaments and soccer camps coming up. Shayna has soccer practices, games and soccer camps as well as ballet twice a week. It should all slow down in November....looking forward to it.

We had an alright weekend

Our weekend was busy although we didn't do a whole lot. We have been contemplating putting Shay in a new dance class. She wants to do tumbling so bad so I agreed to let her take a class that included ballet, jazz and tumbling. However, Friday we went to check it out. When we got to the studio she changed her mind. She wants to stay where she is at and when it comes right down to it, I am glad. After that we went to pick Shane up for our grocery shopping trip. We got him home and got him fed then we were off to our dentist appointment. Britton and Shayna both have great teeth. No cavities for them, HURRAY! I, on the other hand, have a cavity. It's so lame. I'm really annoyed about it. I'm the only one that really takes care of my teeth and I always get the cavities. Why is that? Britton told me he is embarrassed that I have a cavity. Because Adults are supposed to take better care of their teeth you know. He about died when he found out Shayna told her friend that she doesn't have a cavity but her Mom does. He makes me laugh. After our appointment we hurried home to eat some dinner and then had to go pick Shane up and take him to work. Then it was a mad dash to get Britton to his soccer practice on time. I had told the kids that we could have a camp out in the living room and watch movies until we fell asleep but at practice we found out that he had an early morning scrimmage. We got home about 8:30 and I made them take showers and get into jammies. Shane called at 9:30 to be picked up from work as soon as we got home I made the kids get in bed. We had to be up by 7:30 the next morning for more soccer.
Saturday morning started out with a soccer scrimmage. They played 11 year old girls. Britton was seriously half their size. Britton's team won 4 - 1. Britton made two of the goals. I had a few parents come up to me and tell me how good he is. One Mom said he is like a mad mosquito buzzing in and out of everyone. It made me laugh. It was a proud moment. When the scrimmage was over we had to run home, get Britton changed, hurry and grab something to eat and head back out the door. It was time to get Shane to work and then I had to hurry over to my eye appointment. After the eye appointment I let the kids play with friends until Shane called to pick him up from work. During this time I found out that one of the kids has been peeing in our yard. Apparently this is regular practice. If she doesn't feel like going in the house she just goes in the yard. Yes it's a girl. What the H***! I was pissed after finding out about all of the places this girl has gone in our yard, including window wells. I told this girl how discusting I thought it was, she could tell I was ticked. Anyway at the end of our conversation I told her I wouldn't tell her parents unless I found out that she was still doing it. I felt bad about how scared she was so I gave her a hug and told her she could use my bathroom anytime she needed to. I'm thank full for all of the rain we have been getting. Anyway, shortly after that we had to go get Shane, by the time we got back I was spent. I was lacking on energy so I told the kids no more friends. We made treats and had dinner. We went outside and played soccer for about an hour then got all of our bedding out in the front room and ate our treats and watched the very pathetic RSL game and watched movies and tried to fall asleep. Actually I couldn't sleep at all so finally at 2:30am I said screw this and went into my bed. At four Shayna came in looking for me. I told her to go back out in the living room so Britton didn't get scared. I knew he wouldn't care but I needed the sleep. She came back in a 6:00am and that was that. We were all up.
Sunday I spent all day cleaning. My house is spotless from ceiling to floor. I scrubbed walls and everything in between. I hated doing it but it feels so good now. And I know I got a good work out because I am very sore. I love the feeling of a clean house. The kids were so bored while I was cleaning so I told them if they could just let me clean without hearing them whine I would play with them when I was done. They wanted to play soccer again so my very exhausted self went out and played soccer with them for two hours. Later that evening we went to my parents house for dinner. Thank you for feeding us again!
All in all it was a good weekend. Only three more day's until we get to see Ty. We are all very excited. Too bad it's only for a short time.
