Antelope Island

We took the kids to Antelope Island yesterday for a Picnic with my parents. We got there just in time to watch the rounding of the bulls. I can't believe how big they are. I took a lot of pictures of the bulls but this one was the cutest.

Here are the kids having their picnic, they were too cold to sit at the picnic table so we put them in the back of the car. It was a little too breezy that day.

Shayna is pretending to be a monster, the back of the tahoe is her cave. What an imagination.

As you can see the kids can't get enough of their Dad. They have been so happy to have him home.

Ride 'em cowboy. These pictures are taken at the Ranch on Antelope Island, they have a little hands on museum. Your kids are allowed to touch anything they want.

These are my two favorite pictures of the day. The first one is with my Dad sitting on a sheep wagon. My Grandpa Turner had a sheep wagon when I was younger. I used to love to play in it. My Cousin and I would always sleep in it when we went to visit Grandpa. The picture of the kids is them watching a little creek in front of them. They are so cute, I love moments like this.

Halloween

Here are some random pictures of the kids. We had a lot of fun this year, mostly because the kids were so excited. My mom and Dad came over on Halloween and we had pizza and took the kids Trick or Treating while shane stayed at my house to hand out candy....his favorite thing to do.

Britton's Kindergarten Halloween Party

Britton's class had their Kindergarten Halloween Party. Britton was soooo mad that the school was not allowing anybody to wear masks. It took a lot of convincing to get him to go to school. It ended up being was of his favorite days!

Shayna's Preschool Halloween Party

Today was Shayna's Halloween Party at Preschool. When I went to pick her up she told me it was the best school day ever. She wanted to be a horse for Halloween this year but since we couldn't find a horse costume she settled for a princess.

Shayna says some of the funniest things. On our way home from school she said to me "Mom I didn't cry at school today, I didn't suck my thumb or pick my nose either, I'm so proud of me". She makes me laugh. She definitely keeps me entertained.

Weekend Activities

Tyler came home, YEAH!! But only for a week and then he will be gone again. So we took advantage of having him home and had a busy weekend. My camera batteries died so I don't have any pictures to post. Britton has been wanting to make worm soup for the longest time so we did that on Saturday morning, he came up with his own recipe (I had to slightly alter it to make it edible) He made chocolate pudding as the "soup" and we put gummy worms in it. Easy but cute and the kids loved it. Saturday night we decided to make carmeled apples. Another very easy thing to do but again the kids loved it and they were delicious. Sunday we went to Tyler's parents house for a Halloween Party/Dinner. Grandma Carver got all of the kids shirts so they could decorate them for Halloween. Shayna asked me why we got to paint on clothes, she thought it was silly that I would let her paint on a new shirt that Grandma bought her. But she loved every minute of it. Shayna's shirt is covered with ghosts, bats, pumpkins and spiders, some of the pictures are overlapped because she has so much on it, Britton's shirt has a couple of ghosts and spiders and pumpkins all evenly distributed and looks very neat and organized. True to both of their characters. After that was done Grandma Carver told the kids a Halloween story and then sang a Halloween song. Thanks Grandma Carver for making this such a fun day.

Happy Birthday Grandma

We went to La Caille for Grandma Donna's 80th Birthday. She doesn't look or act a day of her age. Isn't she Beautiful. She is so much fun to be with. Thank you Uncle Roger for putting this together, we had so much fun. I can't wait to do this for my Birthday (hint, hint). The Cake was fabulous. I couldn't believe the huge sparklers they used for the candles. I really enjoyed being with my family, I just wish Tyler could have been there.

Pumpkin patch

We went to two different pumpkin patch's this year. The best one was in centerville, here are the kids enjoying the festivities.

Searching for pumpkins, Shayna didn't quite know what to think of the squeeky critter she is holding.

Getting lost in the maze.

Enjoying a wagon ride while looking for pumpkins. (Britton thinks he's spiderman)

Riding horses, Shayna was in Heaven.
