Lunch date with Mom

The day after Christmas my Mom took the Kids and I to lunch. We went to Applebee's (the only place that my kids will eat) It was fun to spend some time with her. Thanks Mom it was fun and I really appreciate it. We are going to try to do this at least once a month. Last month we went to dinner at China Platter. The kids stayed with Dad and Grandpa. It was Fantastic!

SPOILED! ? !

Christmas was a success like always, we all got spoiled.....again! Santa Claus never let's us down. The kids were so much fun this year, they were both so excited, it was fun to watch them rip open the presents with so much excitement. I didn't get very many pictures of Christmas morning, I knew it would be to chaotic so we set up the camcorder to record everything. I didn't take pictures until after everything calmed down a bit.

I didn't get any pictures of Tyler and I but we did get spoiled too. We both got clothes, money and games and I got a garnet and diamond necklace with matching earrings. Thanks Santa!

Christmas Eve
Every year it is my family's tradition to have a Christmas Eve party. For as long as I can remember we have had the party at my Parents house. For the past two years Tyler and I have taken on that tradition and we have been having the party at our house. It's a lot of fun and I am glad I get to do it now. We missed a lot of people this year. A lot of my family lives out of town and were not able to make it this year and because of the weather we had some friends that couldn't make it. Hopefully next year we will be able to get everyone together. It was a lot of fun to see the family that could make it.

Shayna loves to sing, here she is singing everybody Christmas songs in her new PJ's.
Making Cookies

On Christmas Eve I got off of work a little early so the kids decided they wanted to make sugar cookies. This is usually something my Mom does with them but this year it didn't happen. She claims she was just so busy and time just got away from her...HMMM, I wonder? Any way here are the kids making cookies. We bought the dough that you just cut and bake. I think that is going to be my tradition!

Don't they look yummy. You did a good job kids!

This is the Ginger Bread house that the kids made this year. My Mom bought this kit for them and they had so much fun. Grandpa helped out. Good job Dad it looks great!

Just because

I was looking at pictures on my Mom's camera and saw this picture and decided it needed to be posted just because I thought it was so cute! It is very rare to get pictures of Tyler so it should be documented that he is actually looking at the camera. Sorry Ty I hope you forgive me for this but it is worth it. We are in Moab and Tyler and Britton took my Grandpa's truck for a little ride just to make sure it started up. My Mom got this shot. Good job Mom!

Thank you Dad!!!!

Last Friday I got a phone call from my parents saying I needed to go over to their house because there was a present from my Dad to both my Mom and I and it needed to be opened before the 21st. So I get over there and the package is inside a bag from Brighton. I was soooo excited. I thought finally, I get a new purse, but when I picked up the package it was way to light to be a purse so then I thought, Gift Certificate...YEAH!!! I opened the box and inside was an envelope. I'm still thinking gift certificate. I open the envelope and pull out this paper.

So I say to my Dad, Great, I love you too but really you could have just told me this over the phone. If you know my Dad at all then you know he is the biggest jokester, so I really thought that was it, HaHa very funny Dad! After a few minutes of shaking my head at him he pulled an envelope out of his pocket and told Shayna to hand it to me. Inside the envelope was this.....

Tickets to the Nutcracker....Wahoo!!! I was sooooo happy. It's been a while since the last time I went. When the party girl scene came on I couldn't believe I still new the dance, I did it in my head with them, it was so hard to sit still. He got tickets for me, Shayna, My Mom and my Grandma. I was so excited to take Shayna, she loves ballet so much and loves the story of the Nutcracker.

Here is Shayna and her new Nutcracker. She loved watching the Ballet, she was such a good girl and watched the whole thing with no complaints, she kept asking me questions about what was going on and she followed the story very well. I am very proud of her. Thank you so much for doing this for us Dad, we had such a good time, I really appreciate it. Shayna says "Thank you Papa, I love you"!

Christmas Ballet Recital

Shayna's Ballet class had their Christmas Performance today. Its not a huge production, its meant to get them ready for their big recital in May so there are not any costumes they just show family members what they have been learning in class. The following pictures are floor and barre work to get them warmed up before the big dance.

As you can see, Shayna loves the camera!

Here they are lined up for the dance, Shayna is the leader and she is so proud of herself.

The above pictures are Shay doing her dance. They are Reindeer. It looks like Shay is the only one off but really she is the only one on. She knows the dance so well and listens to her teacher. After the recital Shayna's teacher came up to me and told me how good Shay is doing in class. She said she listens well and her body moves the way it is supposed to. She's going to be a natural....I'm so proud.

We stayed for a little bit to watch a girl do a solo. Shayna looked up at me and said "see why I love it so much, some day that will be me". I hope so! After her performance it was time to leave and Shay threw the biggest tantrum. She did not want to leave. She wanted to keep dancing on the stage. She kept saying "I'm not ready to be done, I love to dance on stage"

Gifts and Treats

Tyler took gifts to all of his Co-workers today. We decided we should do something a little more then just a candle so last night after the kids went to bed we stayed up and made rice crispy treats. Can you tell they are helicopters. Cute Huh!

Santa Claus

On Saturday we took the kids to see Santa Claus. The Kids were so excited they could hardly contain themselves. Britton asked Santa for the Bumblebee Transformer and Shayna asked for a Horse. One that eats and everything! Fortunately Santa said he only delivers the stuffed kind.
