One crazy day!

I took today off of work for a whole bunch of reasons, the biggest being that Shane had an appointment with his heart Doctor. They found that he has a elevated heart rate and although this problem isn't really new it is a concern. They just want to check him a little more often now. He also had some blood work done to see if his thyroid could be contributing to the problem. But he's plugging along and doing well and he says he feels great so that's good.

I took both of the kids to school and then I went grocery shopping. All by myself, it was wonderful! This was the first time ever not have at least one other person with me. I'm looking forward to next year when both of the kids will be in school and it can just be Shane and I.

Shayna had her ballet pictures today. So we were busy with hair and makeup and costumes AGAIN, we only have to do this one more time on Friday for her big performance and then we will be done for one more year. I think the pictures are going to turn out really cute. I can't wait to get them back. When we were all done with pictures Shay told me her throat hurt. I was just praying that it would go away and she wouldn't be sick for Friday. It didn't happen, by the time we got home she was in so much pain, just crying and holding her ear. So we were off to instacare yet again and she has an ear infection, so now she is on medication and should be just fine for Friday. Let's just hope Britton dosn't get it, I'm trying so hard to keep him healthy until he gets his tonsils out next month. I really, really don't want him to be sick for his Birthday. And I'm tired of medical bills. Thank the good lord for insurance!

Dentist appointment

Britton had his Dentist appointment today to take care of his cavity and put sealants on his molars. He did a great job the dentist was very impressed. Britton said he hated having a cavity so I told him he needed to quit eating sweets, he said he will just brush every time he eats junk food.....I guess we will see.

I had to take pictures of his crooked smile. He was making so many faces he had me laughing so hard I was crying. Too bad he wouldn't do it for the camera.

I'm one lucky Mom!

Thank you Tyler for letting me sleep in. It was so nice....until you went down stairs and Shayna spilled her drink and Britton came running into me screaming Shayna spilled her drink and it's EVERYWHERE! So I got up at 8:15 which was still very nice. Shayna decorated the house for me and Britton gave me the things they made in class which of course made me cry. I love my kids so much, they make being a Mom the BEST!






We have been wanting to take the training wheels off of Shay's bike for a while now. We finally got around to doing it. We took the kids to the park to ride their bikes and Tyler and I rollerbladed. That's the best way to teach a kid to ride a bike, way easier then running along the side of them. Shayna picked it up so fast, I knew it wouldn't be a problem for her.




Shayna was so proud of herself, she even thought she gave me the best Mother's Day gift ever.....Learning how to ride her bike on Mother's day. Thank you Mom and Dad for the clothes and Thank you Tyler for the money. I have the best family!!

Dress Rehersal

Shayna is a Flower Fairy this year for her Ballet Recital. They had their dress rehearsal on Saturday. Unfortunately she woke up with an upset stomach and a fever. I took her just so she would know where her spot is on stage when they perform. She did so good and never complained about being there. Later that night we celebrated Mother's day with my parents. We went over to their house for dinner, but we had to leave early to take Shayna to instacare. Britton has just gotten over strep throat so I wanted to make sure she didn't have it. She doesn't, it's just a viral infection that will last a few days. But she should be well for her big performance.






I think these costumes are so cute, or maybe she's just cute!

Real Salt Lake

Wednesday night we took the kids to the Real Salt Lake Soccer game. We decided to go because it was Ty's Mom's Birthday and she had never seen the new stadium. The weather was beautiful, it was HOT! We didn't need jackets the whole evening. I'm looking forward to going to more of these games, we have so much fun with the kids. They LOVE it! I just HATE how expensive food and drinks are. We paid $8.50 for a small diet coke and a bucket of popcorn. CrAzY!

Hollywood Connection

The weather was bad last week and we were getting stir crazy. We wanted to take the kids to do something fun and they decided they wanted to go to Hollywood Connection. Jonny and Beckham were in the area so we invited them to come along. Of course the kids had so much, it turned out to be a great day!

We have an Author in the family!

A while back at Parent Teacher Conference Britton's teacher asked him to write a book for his class because she couldn't think of any other goals for him. If you ask him he will tell you he was the Author and Illustrator and I was the Editor. The name of his book is The Sabertooth Escape. He finished it and we thought it turned out so cute that we decided to make several copies. Little did I know how much work it would be for me. I had to cut out all of the pages. We had all of the pages laminated and bound. They turned out very cute! If you want a copy he said he will autograph it for you and he is only charging $20.95. What a funny kid. He's already started on his next book. Who knows, maybe he will have a best seller some day.



He even put a lot of detail into the book. The first page is a list of the Chapters, the second page is the prologue. The back of the book explains what the book is about (pictured below).

I'm pretty proud of my boy, some day he's gonna make me rich!!!!
