Halloween Eve party and some other things.

Friday the kids didn't have school so after sleeping in until 8:00am (except Tyler who was up at 5:00am for work) we started off the day at the dentist. I always forget to take my camera to the dentist so no pictures, but Britton is getting his bottom 6 year old molars in and his two bottom front teeth are getting loose. They are just barely starting to wiggle. We didn't even know until the dentist told us he could see some slight movement. Britton is beside himself with excitement, that's all we heard about all weekend. He is the only one in his class that hasn't lost any teeth yet so this is very exciting news. Shayna was told she has beautiful healthy teeth. Neither one of them have cavities and of course I am thrilled about that. All our hard work of flossing their teeth and making sure they brush well is paying off.
In other news we got Hilda a new Halloween toy which she absolutely loves to attack but every time I pull out the camera she acts as though she could care less. You should see her attack this spider though it is quite hilarious!

Friday evening my parents came over and we made sugar cookies.

I didn't have much for Halloween sprinkles so we used whatever was in the cupboard to decorate. They turned out to be rather Christmassy ghosts and pumpkins.

Then we carved pumpkins.

Shayna wanted this to be her pumpkins nose. She didn't end up using it but she looks cute posing with it!

Papa helping Shayna carve her pumpkin.

And the final results.
This is Shanes pumpkin.

My Dad's pumpkin.

Shayna's pumpkin.

Brittons pumpkin. He wanted the decepticon (transformers) symbol.

During all of this we had a very delicious dinner which consisted of French dip sandwiches and french fries.

While we were at the dentist Jonny (Ty's brother) called us and told us he was able to score some tickets to tomorrows Real Salt Lake Soccer game. The kids get to wear their costumes, I'm so excited, it should be lots of fun!

Last soccer game of the season!

Thank goodness this was the last game, it was SO cold! My Mom said "you know it's cold when you don't care what you look like". Here she is all bundled up.

Here are some action shots of the team, and by team I mean Britton.

Britton was really disappointed that this was the last game. He loves soccer and can't wait for next season. We have his name on a list at the indoor facilities so hopefully someone will call with an opening so he can play through the winter.

Britton's school Halloween Party!

I took the morning off of work today so I could help out in Britton's class. I'm so glad I did! I had a lot of fun and Britton was excited to have me there. They did a costume fashion show. I didn't get any pictures of that because I was in charge of taking the fashion show pictures with the teachers camera so that she could get a slide show of it put together.

The class made spider webs and then broke out into small groups and dressed one person up as the Mummy. Then some Mom's read Halloween stories while they ate doughnuts and drank spooky root beer.

Britton wanted me to take this picture. I thought it was very cute. He is so in character when he has his costume on.

I was kind of disappointed in Shayna's class this year. They did not get to dress up for Halloween so we dressed her in orange and green for school today. When she got home from school she wanted me to take some pictures of her with her vampire teeth in.

It was a fun morning. I wish I could go to work late everyday!

School, Pumpkin patch, Rodeo and Eyeballs

Friday:
I helped out in Shayn'a class today. I helped with computers. The kids have to work through different story's on the computers and by the end of the term the computer will weed out what is easy for them and get to the problems they need work on. It was a lot of fun and the kids are all so cute. Shayna loves working on the computers and does very well at it. Then I helped Mrs. Jessee (Shay's teacher) with homework books. I love to do this, that way I can see where Shay stands compared to the rest of the kids. After school got out we all headed to the Pumpkin Patch, this has turned into a tradition so we couldn't miss it and the weather was so nice. A little cloudy but it was warm enough to be out. Tyler even went with us, he doesn't enjoy this type of thing so we were very lucky to have him....even though he says I had to guilt him into it.

Saturday:
We went to the Rodeo at the Golden Spike Arena to watch Alex, Cody and Jesse. Thanks again Mom and Dad for taking us. we had a ton of fun!

The Wright brothers getting ready for their ride and watching their competition.

This is Alex getting ready for his ride.

This is Cody.

And this is Jesse.

The rodeo clown, I can't believe this horse will do this. So Funny!

And of course you can't go to the Rodeo without new boots. Again thank you Mom and Dad you guys are the best.

I didn't get any good pictures of Shayna. She was having attitude at the time I took this picture of Britton because I wouldn't buy her a $60 pink purse. It took her until the rodeo started for her to come out of her funk but by then I forgot to get a picture of her....too bad to because she looked so cute. She asked me if she could sleep in her new boots because she loves them so much. I didn't let her but she did wear them a bit with her night gown Sunday morning.

Sunday:
The kids and I wanted to make some Halloween treats, so we made eyeballs and they are actually quite delicious and easy to make. We gave some to the neighbors and the kids each took a pair of eyeballs to their teachers.

I think next year I will make these on Halloween and have them as desert after our Halloween dinner.
