Oh Lordy, Turner's 40

It's hard to believe that I have a sibling that is 40 years old.....Well, almost. His actual Birthday is October 6th but this weekend we had a surprise party for him. Thank you Lynn and Lori for allowing us to use your cabin. It was absolutely beautiful and the weather was perfect. I took over 60 pictures and had to try to narrow it down. That's hard work. Shane was definitely surprised, after he gave everyone a hug he pulled my Mom to the side and said, but Mom it isn't my Birthday. My Mom had to explain to him that we did it a little early so he would be surprised. After hearing that he had a great time. Tyler didn't get to join us. He had a safety training in Arizona that he couldn't miss. We really missed having him there. It just wasn't the same without him.

Relaxing in the shade. Or "laxin" as Shane calls it.

Britton and Shayna.

Shayna by the stream. By the time the party was over her shoes were soaking wet and muddy.

Navy (Clayton's daughter) and Shayna.

A few of the kids playing in the stream.

Shane and his wrestling cake. I can't think of a more perfect cake for him.

Opening gifts.

We tried to get pictures of all of the family's that came. We are missing a few (some family's had to leave early) I don't have a picture of Grandma Donna and Shane or Uncle Don and Aunt Lynn or Stephanie and Jeremy or Bryan and Amber and as silly as it is we didn't get a picture with me and my Family or my parents.....what the heck were we thinking?

Bonnie, Ricky and Shane

Scott, Tony, Max, Clayton, Navy and Kinsey.....ooops!! We left out Chance.

But no worries. We took care of that. Here is Chance and Shane.

Theresa and Shane

Shane, Aunt Margaret, Jimmy and Amanda's little boy. Can you tell Aunt Margaret didn't want her picture taken?

Debbie and Jonny Smith and Family.

Ron and Vickie Turner and Family

Diane and Shane

Angie, Ryan, Hayden and Shane

Birthday hugs and wishes!

Boys will be Boys. Jace was showing off how strong he is by lifting his Dad.

He could also do squats. Pretty impressive.

Todd's trying to talk himself out of getting his butt whooped! Haha, just kidding. I have no idea what is going on here.

Scott and Dad enjoying the party. You can't tell they are related can you?

Beautiful girls. Shayna and Navy.

The best part of the party for Shayna was getting this balloon. Thank you Charlene for making sure she got one.

Britton played soccer the entire 5 hours we were there. NON-STOP. I made him stop to eat a hot dog but he just held the hot dog while he played.

Thanks to Sierra for playing soccer with Britton after everyone else was just too tired to play. Jace played a lot with him as well but I didn't get a picture. What great kids sierra and Jace are. Pretty darn cute too!

Just because he is cute, here's a picture of Britton

The mountain is so pretty this time of year. It makes me want to go back next weekend because I know there will be even more color.

Beaver Damn.

What a great weekend. I really had a lot of fun!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHANE!!

Cub Scouts = Total chaos

Yesterday was a crazy busy day. Tyler had to attend a meeting yesterday after work so we didn't get to see him until about 9:00 last night. I had to leave work a little early so I could meet up with my parents and go to Britton's soccer game. His team ended up losing by one but Britton got an awesome goal. I had the camera all ready and sitting in my lap just waiting to capture a goal. Well, I got to excited and forgot all about it until he was running down the field with his hands in the air. So needles to say I didn't get it on camera, oh I didn't take any pictures either. Awesome.

As soon as soccer was over we had to hurry like crazy to get to Cub Scouts. Britton had to change in the car that's how pressed for time we were. We were an hour late, but it was OK because they had not even started by the time we got there. Their rocket ship launching line kept breaking. Once they got it all figured out they started the rocket ship launching competition. But it was total chaos. They had no idea who was going or who had already gone. They did it in a little hallway so there was no room. And again the lines kept breaking. I couldn't get very good pictures and it was just annoying to be in the chaos of it all. But Britton said he had fun and that is all that matters.

Since Tyler was not able to make it Britton asked Grandpa if he would come and help. Thanks for being there for him Dad!

Britton was supposed to get his wolf badge on this evening as well, but guess what. They forgot his awards. So instead of having a "ceremony" to receive his awards his friends Mom will bring them to our house. It was very nice of her to volunteer to do that, but she shouldn't have had to. I was kind of ticked that his hard work wasn't recognized but that's OK. He didn't seem to be upset so I just let it go. Another thing I found kind of annoying was that two of the boys tied. Instead of having a tie breaker they just told the boys to share the trophy. Seriously? Who does that? I thought it was pretty crappy that one of the boys went home without a trophy...LAME.

When we finally got home the kids still had homework to do and they were STARVING. So after eating a bowl of cereal and doing homework and brushing teeth and getting into Jammies they were finally in bed at 9:30 pm. I hope they don't fall asleep during school.

You know what the best part about the whole day was. Grandma Donna (Britton and Shay's Great Grandma) got to spend the day with us. I was super glad that she got to see Britton get a goal.

Soccer, Football and Family!

Wow! Soccer is taking over our lives. I wouldn't change it though. I have so much fun watching Britton play and I am AMAZED at his skills. Britton has soccer practice every Tuesday and Thursday and game days are every Wednesday and Friday.

This is the first real game they have played this season, they lost by two goals but they played so well. Brittons team had four goals and Britton got three of them! A hat trick as they say in soccer. We are very proud of him. He had a lot of supporters there too. Thank you everybody for showing up. Grandma and Grandpa Carver, Jonny came with Beckham and Mckye and Grandma and Grandpa Turner.

In October the coach has signed the team up for a tournament. It lasts two days and we are all very excited about that.....

I wish that I could actually get a picture of him on goal.

This last weekend I had some family come in town from Las Vegas. My Cousin's son Jace (who would also be my (second) cousin) plays on his high school football team and they had a game in Hyrum. Jace had to stay with his team but we were lucky enough to get to have Todd stay with us. Uncle Ronny and Aunt Vick stayed with my parents.

We very rarely get to see Todd and his family. We stayed up until after one just visiting with him. Now I remember why I thought he was so cool growing up. How did I get so lucky to have such an awesome family.

Unfortunately Jace's team lost. But that didn't matter. I don't know anything about football but I had so much fun watching it. Aunt Vicki reminds me so much of my Mom when she is watching Britton play Soccer. Those Grandma's can really get into it. Did I mention how cool my Aunt Vick is? Well, she is. She is always reading my blog and is very supportive. Thanks Aunt Vick, I love you! Maybe someday you will figure out how to comment....Haha!

So, how come nobody has pictures of the football game?

Ballet

Shayna is still taking Ballet twice a week. This year she has Mrs. Kate and Mrs. Crosby. I can not believe how much she has improved since going twice a week. I am so glad she likes it and loves her teachers.
