Grand Gecko

Brittons new school mascot is the gecko. He is the grand gecko of the month for being helpful and responsible. He was congratulated over the intercom and asked to go to the office for a prize. He got a pencil, key chain and a gift certificate to freedom station. Britton we are so proud of you. It makes me happy that he is recognized for being the great kid that he is!

Can you believe they shut down the schools until 10:30 this morning because of this.....



I wonder what people around here would think about the winters where I come from.....

And we have never had a snow day.

Another weekend in phoenix

We spent another weekend in Phoenix for a tournament. Not much to say about it this time. We stayed in the most disgusting hotel ever, we didn't even eat the continental breakfast. We decided to go out instead. It was that scary. The boys didn't do very well this time. We took fifth. Here's to looking forward to the next tournament......it seems like we are in Phoenix more then not. I don't mind. I sure love the weather!

Running errands

Tyler called me this morning saying that he had a flat tire and he needed us to take the Tahoe in to get it fixed. While we were waiting the kids and I went to lunch. Then we had to go to the post office and then to get Britton's hair cut.
He has been begging me for a while now to have it cut. I wanted to grow it out so bad but he HATES it.

Happy Birthday Tyler!

So this is the only picture I took on Ty's Birthday. The reason is that none of us got ready for the day. Tyler didn't want his picture taken in his PJ's, neither did I so this is what you get. Tyler doesn't get very many days off so it was nice that we could just sit around and didn't have any where to go or any errands to run.
He got spoiled. My Parents gave him money, Shane gave him a model Helicopter that he put together all by himself. Tyler already has it proudly displayed in his office. We gave him a bunch of cologne, a pocket knife, new bed sheets, gum, trail mix, highlighters and we made him his favorite dessert.

such a good helper!

Shayna loves to cook. She helps me out in the kitchen so much. I love having someone in the kitchen with me. It's nice to have someone to talk to and it is so much faster because she will do all the prep work.
She read a book at school that had some recipes in it. She thought this particular recipe looked really good (Olive Chicken Rollups) so she asked her teacher to print it off for her. She brought the recipe home and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to let her learn how to read a recipe and follow the directions.
This is her first time cutting up onions.

Now she understands what I mean when I tell her cutting onions makes me cry. We were both laughing pretty hard.
Cooking the chicken. She is getting really good at using the stove top.

And the best part is eating all your hard work.

Thank you for making dinner Shay. It was very good and I am so proud of you for sticking with it to the end.

So relaxing....

Yesterday was a very fun and relaxing day for me. My friend Evie and I got a pedicure and went to lunch while the kids were at school. Now I have beautiful purple sparkly toenails. Thanks Evie can't wait to do it again!
