I am so proud!

Shaynas teacher sent me an email telling me that Shay is a wonderful student. She is doing so good in school and she is even getting compliments from other teachers for her good behavior! Shay loves her new school so much. She has adapted very well and is actually excited to go to school everyday for the first time ever. It makes me so happy to know that Shay likes it here and is doing so good in school. It takes a lot of stress off of her parents. Yay for no anxiety!!

We had a great weekend.

Britton was invited to his new Friends birthday part on Saturday. When I called to RSVP they invited Tyler and I to come for the party as well. I thought it was really nice that they wanted to meet us and wanted us to join the Family for the party. Britton was the only Friend that was invited and the rest of the kids were cousins so we were the only ones there that were not related. They are such nice people and we really enjoyed ourselves. They are a great Family and I'm really glad that Britton has such a good friend.
As soon as the party was over we headed over to my Cousins house for her boys Birthday party. I LOVE having family close by and even though Cole is 3 years older then Britton they get along great. I'm so excited that he has a Cousin he can hang out with and I know that when he is at their house I never have to worry about him. LOVE IT.
Britton was invited to sleep over and then they took the boys to the Adventuredome at Circus Circus to play and ride on all the rides all day long. Britton had a blast and could NOT stop talking about it. He is already begging us to take him back. Last night at 8:30 I was reading with the kids and Britton could not concentrate on his book. He kept thinking about all of the rides and had to tell me all about them again and again. I'm so glad he had that much fun. Thank you Rhonda and Aunt Vick for taking him. He had a blast and I am so happy that he is spending so much time with Family. You guys are the BEST!

While Britton was off having fun and Tyler was at work I thought it would be fun for Shayna and I to spend some fun time together. We went to Yogurtland for some frozen yogurt. It was so good. I can't wait to go back. Then we came home and made up dances and went swimming and played school and oh my goodness I was EXHAUSTED! I had so much fun with Shay. She has such an amazing personality. Thank you for hanging out with me Shay. I love you so much!!

Flagstaff Tournament

We went to Flagstaff this last weekend for Britton's first soccer tournament with his new team. This is the first time this team has even played a game together so we were not expecting much but they actually did really well!
They lost their first game 2-1.

This is his new team and new coaches. They are a great group of people. I really like this team ALOT!

Britton had so much support this weekend. We had a great time with everybody. My Mom and Dad were able to make it along with my Brother and Grandma Donna and my Uncle Ron and Aunt Vicky even came along. It meant a lot to us (especially Britton) to have everyone there. Thank you everybody for coming. We had a BLAST!
Brittons team won the second game 9-2! Britton got 2 of the 9 goals.

The first night Brittons whole team met up at sizzler. It was a great bonding experience for the boys and it helped Britton get to know everybody a little better. My whole family came along and we had a nice evening.

The second day Britton had to play against his old team from Prescott. What are the chances of that. I wasn't sure how we would do against them because they have been together for a couple of years and Brittons team all just met each other.
It was so much fun to meet up with all of our old friends from Prescott. It was a bitter sweet game. I found myself cheering for the boys from Prescott, and wanting Brittons new team to win so badly.
Britton was team captain this weekend!

 The game was incredibly intense! We ended up losing 5-4 but it was a super fun game and I was very proud of both teams.

After the game Britton went and hung out with his old team. They were all so excited to see each other. They are seriously such a good group of boys, we miss them so much!

I love this picture! Britton in his new team gear hanging out with boys from his old team!! The game is intense and competitive but at the end of the day they can be the best of friends. I thought it was pretty cool that Brittons old coaches wanted to be in the picture with him too. So awesome!

Sometimes life sucks!

The heat has been murder on our cars. Two weeks ago we had to replace the battery in our car and yesterday when I went to pick the kids up from school the Tahoe wouldn't start. I had to run back into the house and change my shoes and grab some water so I could walk to the school. It's just under 2 miles to get there so it's not a big deal, thank goodness it was only 103 degrees! I was a big sweaty mess by the time I got there but the worst part about it was making the kids walk home in the heat. Thank goodness they were good sports about it, and of course they handled it better then I did.

So the moral of this story is sometimes life sucks because you realize after such a short walk you are totally worn out and you come to the realization that you desperately need to start working out. I HATE working out.

Blogger is making me mad!

I have been trying to do my updates but I can't add any pictures because I guess my web album is too full. Has anyone had this problem? Is there any way to get around it! I am SO bugged!!

Anyway, we have had a lot going on. We made it through the first week of school. Now we are almost done with the second week and the kids have been doing great. They are meeting friends and they really like their teachers. I'm really bored without my kids. I need to work on a schedule to keep me busy. I can't stand just sitting at home all day so I need to figure something out. Anybody know of any legit work from home jobs? That would be awesome!!

We went to my Cousins daughters fourth birthday party. We had a lot of fun. We were there ALL DAY! I'm sure we wore out our welcome but the kids were having so much fun. It was extremely difficult to get the kids to leave. I love having family nearby!

Britton was invited to play in a indoor soccer tournament. It was all day in Summerlin. The boys had three games and lost them all. It was good practice for Britton and he had fun so that is all that matters to me. He has a tournament coming up with his regular team so hopefully they will do better!

Shayna has been trying to figure out what she wants to do for her extra curricular activity. She wasn't that interested in soccer and didn't love dance so she decided on swimming. We found out that there is a local swim team called the Henderson Heat Wave so I called up the coach and scheduled a time for Shay to try out. We had no idea what to expect. I didn't know what they would have her do so we were a little nervous when we got there. She had to swim the freestyle, back stroke, butterfly and breast stroke. I had no idea she knew what the breast stoke or the butterfly stroke was but she did it! And can you believe it? She made the team!! The coach recommended that she take some lessons to polish up on her strokes and then she starts swimming with the team in October. She is so excited! I am so Proud!!

1st day of school

The first day of school is always so stressful. I hate it. Britton always does so well. He is so brave! Shayna on the other hand breaks my heart. I went in her room to wake her up and she was in there crying. She was so nervous about starting school in a new city with no friends. But by the time we got to the school she did great. She was so brave and had no problem saying goodbye to me. I am so proud of her!!

I can't wait to go pick them up. I miss them so much already!

And since I am feeling sorry for myself I decided I would blog about me!!

I was ironing some clothes a few days ago and when I put the ironing board away I happened to hit the hot iron with my arm.

I went over to Walgreen's to get some cream for it but the pharmacist saw me looking for something and told me this would be the best thing for it.  It looks ridiculous but I didn't care it made it feel soooo much better.
Whats really annoying about the whole thing is that it hurts way worse then it looks. It is starting to heal and now its just itchy and miserable. Such a dumb thing to do.

Quick trip to Utah

We headed to Utah for my Mom's birthday and one last trip before school starts. We dropped Tyler off in Cedar City so he could go hunting with his brothers and the kids and I headed to Mom and Dad's.

We did all of our school clothes and school supply shopping. Thank you Mom and Dad. I appreciate everything so much. The kids got some of the cutest clothes and Tyler and I even got spoiled too!

For Mom's Birthday we wanted to go for a Pic Nic. We thought it would be fun to go to Pineview reservoir. When we got there it was SOOOO crowded. There were no tables left anywhere so we decided to head to the Dinosaur park.

Britton was afraid he was going to get eaten!!

We bought some food to feed the ducks and all of a sudden these HUGE fish sowed up. We had a lot of fun feeding them. They kept us very entertained.

We had a lot of fun at the park. It was a beautiful day. The weather was nice and cool (for us) and Dad was able to walk around with us!!

Shayna is so good to Shane. She is the best little helper. She tries to take care of Shane for Grandma because she knows Grandma has her hands full with everything. She cleans his glasses, gets his drinks and try's to keep him entertained.

They did a lot of art work together. It was really cute!

Shane wanted us to go bowling with him. My kids love to bowl and they are actually getting pretty good at it.

I had to get a picture of their scores. They both bowl way better then I do. I couldn't believe Shay bowled a 115!!

We are back home now. We didn't get to stay very long but we sure enjoyed it!!

Now I'm working on getting the kids on a good sleep schedule so we can get up for school. School starts WAAAY to early here. We have to be there at 7:50. Isn't that CRAZY!!
