HaPpY EaStEr!!

Saturday night we had my Parents and Shane come over for dinner and to dye Easter Eggs. We did four dozen eggs and that wasn't enough. Everyone wanted to do more. Next year I am going to have to plan ahead and make sure we have TONS of eggs. After all, this isn't just for the little kids.

Just a little explanation....When we are at home Shayna is never in normal clothes. She always wants to wear her princess dresses. When she wakes up in the mornings she changes out of her jammies and into her princess dress before she leaves her room. This dress that she is wearing is her favorite, I think it is so funny that she wears it all the time. The crotch hangs down to her knees but the skirt covers it so she doesn't care. It is the last dress that I ever wore dancing on stage.....that was a little over eight years ago. I haven't danced since I got pregnant with Britton, I was just to sick and I swore I would get back into when I had him, when that time came I couldn't stand to be away from him in the evenings so I never went back. Then along came Shay and time has just slipped away. I miss dancing, hopefully I will go back to it someday.......anywho, back to the point.

Dyeing Easter eggs.

I had to add this close up of Britton, He is about to lose his front tooth. It is going to come out any minute now.

Dad and Ty showing off their fancy artwork, I think they were actually flipping me off!

Dad's pink egg is so pretty.....it's so him.

The finished product

Easter morning. I couldn't believe that the kids got up so early. They came running into our room to tell us the Easter Bunny came. We told the kids to wait for us and we would be right out. By the time we got out there (no more then 3 minutes later) they had already been through their baskets and read the notes that Mr. Cottontail left them.

As soon as they read the notes they were in search of the eggs. Mr. Cottontail hid 34 eggs for each of them. He didn't do a very good job hiding them though. As it turns out they were hidden way to easy. I bet next year will be a different story!

Some of the eggs even had money in them.....How lucky are they?

Britton couldn't wait to get to his lego starwars set. It's all he could talk about.

The finished product.

My parents came over for Easter dinner and brought the kids some Easter baskets. They were a big hit! As you could see the kids didn't want to get out of their jammies, it had been a long weekend and they just wanted to relax. I don't blame them.

After my parents left we had our family movie night. We didn't have time at all this weekend and the kids always look forward to it so we had to make time Easter night. Britton wanted to watch Starwars and Shayna didn't so Tyler and Britton watched Starwars and Shayna and I watched Monster house. It's a kid friendly scary movie. It was so much fun to watch it with Shay, She loves scary movies just like I do.
