California Vacation Day 6......Disneyland!!

Disneyland was so much fun this year. The weather was amazing and the kids were so excited. Last time we were at Disneyland Shayna was only 3 and Britton was 5. Shayna finally warmed up to the Characters and Britton was brave enough to ride on the rides. The park wasn't very crowded so lines where not that long but Shane and my Grandma both had wheelchairs so we had to enter the rides through the wheelchair access.....no waiting in lines for us. It was AWESOME!! The longest we waited was about 7 minutes for each ride. Talk about SPOILED!!!

Britton wanted to do the Jedi training so bad. He is really into Star Wars right now so we couldn't let this opportunity pass us up. We waited for about 45 minutes for the show to start to make sure he had the best chance of getting chosen. While we were waiting a Disney worker came over and started talking to us. He told us right where to sit and sure enough, Britton was the first on chosen to go on stage.

Jedi training

once they were finished with the training the "Dark side" showed up.
Darth Vader, Darth Maul and the Storm Troopers.

Darth Maul was awesome. He walked right up to Shayna with this creepy look on his face. She cuddled into my chest and said I'm ok Mom, it's going to be ok. I thought it was so cute. He noticed that Ty had his camera out so he stood there long enough for Ty to get a good picture.

While Britton was on stage he got to use his light Saber to fight with Darth Vader. We didn't get a picture of it because we recorded it. When Britton was all done fighting him he came to me and said "Mom, that was so hard to fight him and kind of scary. He has a strong force." I thought it was so cute how real it felt to him.

This is the certificate he got for becoming a Jedi.

This is the Indiana Jones ride. Since we had wheelchairs we got right on, however, they wouldn't let Shayna go because she wasn't tall enough. She started to cry because she wanted to go so bad.

I stayed off of the ride with Shayna while everyone else went. The ride attendant felt so bad for Shay so she gave her a Princess for the day pass! It let her choose any ride she wanted to go on without having to wait in line. It worked out great because she wanted to use it on the Matterhorn. This was a ride that neither Shane or my Grandma wanted to go on so we didn't get the wheelchair access. No waiting for us though, when they ushered us to the front of the line it made Shay feel very special.

When my family got off of the Indiana Jones ride the attendant told me I couldn't pass up this ride so she put Tyler and I on the ride right away, he got to ride it twice back to back, no waiting. I seriously loved this attendant.....she was the BEST!!!

When we left and were thanking her Shayna gave her a hug. It was very cute! She really made her day....and mine!

Jungle Cruise

It's a small world

Gadget's go coaster. Look how brave my Dad is.

He really enjoyed it!

Mickey Mouse's house

Oh what cute kids. Britton didn't want to get Minnie Mouse's autograph so he stayed and played with Shane while Shayna, Tyler and I went to Minnie's house.

At the end of the day when the park was getting ready to close down we decided to hit one last ride. Space Mountain. As many times as I have been to Disneyland I have never been on this ride. I cant believe it. This is the funnest ride ever. I loved every minute of it. I was screaming and laughing like crazy. I was riding with Shayna and I was afraid she might be scared, it's so dark in there I couldn't see her so I asked her if she was ok, She said "yes, I'm fine but are you". I thought it was funny she was worried about me because I was screaming. That was seriously the best way to end the day.....it sucked that we had to wait in line for an hour and a half though. Darn those people in wheelchairs didn't want to ride it.

Waiting in line for Space Mountain.

The wait was well worth it......I can't wait to back!!
