Life has been crazy the last two weeks. It's been so long I'm not even sure where to start.
Let's see....
Shayna made us dinner one night. She made Taco soup and it was delicious. She loves to cook and I have just recently became brave enough to let her anywhere near a hot stove. I should let her do it more often. She did a great job!
When Tyler was in town we drove to Logan to watch Britton's last outdoor game of the season. They ended up losing. His team didn't have any subs and they were all exhausted. We had to hurry back to Sandy as fast as we could to make the RSL game. We thought we were going to be freezing but it actually ended up to be a really beautiful evening. The kids didn't even wear their coats.
We had some Seattle Sounders fans sitting in front of us and when one of they guys caught this RSL scarf he turned around and handed it to Shayna. SCORE! She was so excited.
It was crazy hair day at school a couple of weeks ago. Both of the kids decided what they wanted their hair to look like so that's what they did.
How cute are they?!?
HaLlY HaPpOwEeN!
Tyler got to be home with us for Halloween. It has been the LOOOONGEST four months without him. The kids miss him so much. When he comes home the kids won't leave his side. I'm glad that is all coming to an end.
We had to wait until Tyler got home to carve pumpkins so here we are Halloween Eve carving our pumpkins.
Shayna's pumpkin. She designed all by herself. For some reason I couldn't get the picture of Britton's pumpkin to work but you can see it behind Shay. He designed it all by himself and did a fantastic job.
Shane/Dad's pumpkin. Very creative and funny!
And here they are all lit up. Shayna's is on top, then Britton's and Shane's is to the right.
And when that was all done. Grandma Sharon got a hair makeover.
Beautiful!
Halloween Day.
My Mom loved her hair so much she decided to leave the color in. What a good Grandma. And she helped the kid's make cookies. It's our tradition to make and decorate sugar cookies for the holiday's. This Holiday season has been so hectic that we didn't have time to make them until Halloween day. At least it got done.
Britton isn't into it so much anymore. He cut out two cookies. Ate a bunch of dough and quit.
And then it was time to get ready for Trick-or-Treating!!
Both of the kids wanted to be the same thing as last year. Not very exciting but it worked. They had fun and I didn't have to spend money on costumes. win, win.
Shane stayed at my house and handed out candy while we all went out Trick-or-Treating.
He dressed up as a tourist in Hawaii. Haha!
The kids didn't trick or treat for long. I don't think either of them were feeling very well. We just went around the block and they were done. Tyler wasn't feeling good either. It's too bad to because we actually had really great weather this year.
Tyer had to leave early Tuesday morning and the next morning Shayna and I woke up with the stomach flu. It was terrible timing too because we had people coming to look at our house for the next two days. I had to get up and clean and disinfect the house all while feeling terrible. I felt so bad for Shay. We had to get in the car and drive over to my Mom's house so we wouldn't be home while people were walking through the house. We spent two full sick day's at my Parents....thanks for taking care of us. And again, I'm sorry.
We had our first snow day on Saturday the 5th. It was too cold to play outside and the kids have outgrown all of their snow gear so we brought the snow in to us.
They played with the snow in the sink for two days staight. They sat there and played for hours.
They thought I was the coolest Mom for thinking of that.
It's nice to be appreciated once in a while:)
