It's a looong story. The story behind why it has taken so long to blog. It's because of moving and trying to get settled, dealing with getting our internet set up. That took weeks on it's own, and getting pictures from my Mom to add to the blog. Any way let's just get to the meat and potatoes of things.
We have been ripped from our roots in Utah and planted in the dirt of Arizona. Basically we have been TRANSPLANTED and we love it here so much we are GROWING and thriving. I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am here. It was really hard to leave friends and family but it was well worth it. Plus I'm not working so that helps a TON!
While we were packing up in Utah we let the kids have some friends over for one last time!
There were a TON of kids over and they brought gifts. It was soooo cute!!
Then we took Shayna to say good bye to her ballet class. We took her teachers some roses and each of the girls in her class got a sucker.
Brittons soccer team brought him a jersey signed by all of the kids on is team. He loved it! It was very thoughtful of his coach and team to do this for him.
On our way to Arizona. A very exciting, sad, happy moment.
Britton making sure his mattress was secure enough to travel.
giving Doc loves. Even though he came with us he needed his last Utah hugs.
On the road!!!
We arrived in Arizona on Thanksgiving evening. We didn't get to have a nice family Thanksgiving meal but it was nice that my Parents, Grandma and Brother were able to come along with us and help us with the big move!!
We got the truck unloaded the next day and started trying to get settled in.
Our lovely no grass backyard....the kids are struggling with that.
We had to get both of the kids new beds because the beds they had wouldn't fit in their new bedrooms. We downsized big time.....
While trying to settle in we had to find a school for the kids to go to. We finally found a school I could send my kids to. It took some work and we had to prove that they were worthy to go to that school by sending in school grades from their old school. Thank goodness I have smart kids, they got in with no problem!!
First day of school in Arizona.....December 1st and they are in short sleeve shirts.....CRAZY!!!
While every one was still in town we decided to do some exploring.
Downtown Prescott.
We had to check out our local lakes.....
We went to the gingerbread house competition to see all the creative houses. My Mom and Grandma loved it. The kids and I were pretty board.
And of course we had to go to lunch and dinner several times.
So far we are loving it here....sorry it took so long to get the blog updated. (Hi Aunt Vick and Uncle Ron) Stay tuned for much, much more.......

Here's the post we have been waiting for!
Life has been crazy the last two weeks. It's been so long I'm not even sure where to start.
Let's see....
Shayna made us dinner one night. She made Taco soup and it was delicious. She loves to cook and I have just recently became brave enough to let her anywhere near a hot stove. I should let her do it more often. She did a great job!
When Tyler was in town we drove to Logan to watch Britton's last outdoor game of the season. They ended up losing. His team didn't have any subs and they were all exhausted. We had to hurry back to Sandy as fast as we could to make the RSL game. We thought we were going to be freezing but it actually ended up to be a really beautiful evening. The kids didn't even wear their coats.
We had some Seattle Sounders fans sitting in front of us and when one of they guys caught this RSL scarf he turned around and handed it to Shayna. SCORE! She was so excited.
It was crazy hair day at school a couple of weeks ago. Both of the kids decided what they wanted their hair to look like so that's what they did.
How cute are they?!?
HaLlY HaPpOwEeN!
Tyler got to be home with us for Halloween. It has been the LOOOONGEST four months without him. The kids miss him so much. When he comes home the kids won't leave his side. I'm glad that is all coming to an end.
We had to wait until Tyler got home to carve pumpkins so here we are Halloween Eve carving our pumpkins.
Shayna's pumpkin. She designed all by herself. For some reason I couldn't get the picture of Britton's pumpkin to work but you can see it behind Shay. He designed it all by himself and did a fantastic job.
Shane/Dad's pumpkin. Very creative and funny!
And here they are all lit up. Shayna's is on top, then Britton's and Shane's is to the right.
And when that was all done. Grandma Sharon got a hair makeover.
Beautiful!
Halloween Day.
My Mom loved her hair so much she decided to leave the color in. What a good Grandma. And she helped the kid's make cookies. It's our tradition to make and decorate sugar cookies for the holiday's. This Holiday season has been so hectic that we didn't have time to make them until Halloween day. At least it got done.
Britton isn't into it so much anymore. He cut out two cookies. Ate a bunch of dough and quit.
And then it was time to get ready for Trick-or-Treating!!
Both of the kids wanted to be the same thing as last year. Not very exciting but it worked. They had fun and I didn't have to spend money on costumes. win, win.
Shane stayed at my house and handed out candy while we all went out Trick-or-Treating.
He dressed up as a tourist in Hawaii. Haha!
The kids didn't trick or treat for long. I don't think either of them were feeling very well. We just went around the block and they were done. Tyler wasn't feeling good either. It's too bad to because we actually had really great weather this year.
Tyer had to leave early Tuesday morning and the next morning Shayna and I woke up with the stomach flu. It was terrible timing too because we had people coming to look at our house for the next two days. I had to get up and clean and disinfect the house all while feeling terrible. I felt so bad for Shay. We had to get in the car and drive over to my Mom's house so we wouldn't be home while people were walking through the house. We spent two full sick day's at my Parents....thanks for taking care of us. And again, I'm sorry.
We had our first snow day on Saturday the 5th. It was too cold to play outside and the kids have outgrown all of their snow gear so we brought the snow in to us.
They played with the snow in the sink for two days staight. They sat there and played for hours.
They thought I was the coolest Mom for thinking of that.
It's nice to be appreciated once in a while:)

I can't even believe it!!
Our house was on the MLS Website for a half an hour before our realtor got a phone call saying someone was interested. The next day they came out to look at the house. The day after that they gave us an offer.
Who would of thought?
I thought we were going to go months and months without anyone taking a look.
The offer wasn't exactly what we were hoping for so we are sending them a counter offer. I guess we will see what happens.
On another note I have so much that I need to blog about. But I have been sooo busy! And Shayna and I have had the stomach flu. So that put me out of commission for a couple of days as well. Anyway, I will try to get my Halloween posts up soon.
Until then....wish us luck!
