So many things!
This last week there have been so many things going on that I have felt a little overwhelmed. I haven't taken the time to blog so here I am trying to catch up. I guess first things first.
I got the pictures back from Santa! I don't have a scanner so I had to take a picture of the picture so the quality looks terrible but they really did turn out cute.

Britton was sick all week with the flu so he missed his karate test which would move him from a yellow belt second degree to a yellow belt third degree. I contacted his instructor and they allowed him to make up his test on Saturday. So on Saturday we took him to his test and he was the only one there. It makes the test even harder when you don't have other people to watch. He did so good I am very impressed with him. We won't find out until Tuesday the 16th if he passed. I'm 100 percent positive he did. They will also be having their Christmas party on Tuesday which he is so excited for. I didn't even think to take pictures of him during his testing. I had my camera with me but I got so nervous watching him stand up there all by himself I forgot to get it out. I am so proud of how brave he was. Good job Britton, you make us proud!!
Shayna, poor, sweet Shayna. She has been having tummy aches, I didn't think much of it until she started to complain numerous times a day. I took her to the Dr. on Friday and the Dr. didn't like how Shay's tummy looked or felt so she sent us to Primary Children's Hospital for an X-ray. Without going into too much detail Shay is now on medication to "clean her out" and she will have to be on this medication for two days then we have to switch her over to a maintenance dose which she will be on for at least a few months according to the Dr. We will be going back to the Dr. in three weeks for a check up so until then we hope things continue to go well. I think Shay will start feeling better. I can't even tell you how scared I was when the Dr. told me her tummy was abnormal and we needed an x-ray. Shayna is a trooper and has been handling everything like a pro. We love you Shayna, your the best!!
Saturday night was Tyler's work party. We went bowling, which was a ton of fun! I came in second place with a score of 130 (yes, I'm still in shock, I have never bowled that good) and won a fifty dollar gift certificate to Chili's. After bowling we went to Tyler's Boss' house for dinner. Ton's of good food and fun to be had. We played a little game while eating dinner. You had to see how many words you could make out of Merry Christmas. I came in third place on that and won a fifteen dollar gift certificate to Walmart. We had to leave the party early because we needed to get home to give Shay her medicine so as we were walking out the door we were handed a gift from Ty's boss and his wife. We got a Chocolate and Cheese Fondue pot, complete with four plates, four fondue forks, fondue pot and burner with fuel included. It's very nice and will be a lot of fun at our Christmas Eve party. I would say we scored!
So there it is, that was my week. I'm sure I left something out but that pretty much sums it up. My next post will be about Britton and his Karate with lots and lots of pictures (unless I get nervous about something and forget) So check back soon!

Visiting Santa and Flying Airplanes
Saturday we took the kids to see Santa (pictures will be posted as soon as I get them). Britton asked Santa for the Ben 10 Omnitrix Watch and Shayna asked for a cupcake maker. They were so cute with Santa this year. Shane was with us and Santa asked Shane if he wanted to sit with him and get his picture taken so of course he did, then Santa told Tyler, me and my Mom to get in the picture too so we all got our picture with Santa and the kids got candy canes. Britton put his on the Christmas tree and Shayna ate hers. While she was eating it she looked so upset, when I asked her what was wrong she said "now that I ate my candy cane I'm feeling like I wanted to put it on the tree like Britton" It was kind of sad but of course she got to put a candy cane on the tree anyway. Shane put his candy cane on my Mom's tree. I can't wait to get the pictures back. I think they turned out really cute! Hopefully!!
After pictures we ran home and changed clothes so we could meet my Uncle Robyn and Cousin Coby out on the desert so we could watch them fly their airplanes. We took a picnic and had a great time.
Here are the kids with Coby's plane. Notice Barbie in the cockpit. She's the pilot.

Shay told Coby she sure hopes Barbie is a good pilot because it would be really sad if she crashed.

Tyler had these streamers in his coat from when he went to the Real Salt Lake Soccer Game so they tied them onto the back of the Airplanes for visual effect.

Merry (early) Christmas to me!
Our basement has been finished for over two years now and I can honestly say that I have been down there maybe a total of ten times since it has been finished. The reason being it is just too darn cold down there.....well not anymore thanks to my Mom and Dad. They gave us a fire place, a really fancy fireplace, with a remote. It even has the crackling sound that a real fireplace makes and you can mute it if you don't want to hear it. You can even decide what temperature you want it set on and the best part is, it really looks like a real fire. I LOVE IT!!! We have been downstairs everyday since. Thank you Mom and Dad I really appreciate and it looks so good too!

Thanksgiving Weekend
This year for Thanksgiving we went to Moab! We usually spend Thanksgiving with Tyler's family but this year two of his sister's were going to be in Moab as well so we decided that was a great way to see both family's and be in moab!
Shayna's favorite thing to do in the mornings and in the evenings. Sit with Great Grandma Donna in the chair and snuggle.
Thanksgiving dinner was very good. I didn't get any pictures but it was nice.
Friday morning we woke up and my Mom was so sick with the flu. I felt so bad for her but the kids and Tyler and I decided to leave them behind and hang out with Ty's family for the day. We went to the Wind Tunnels, some people call them the honeycomb caves but I have always known them as the Wind Tunnels. We had a great time, the kids loved exploring the tunnels.

When we got back from the wind tunnels we were supposed to go make ginger bread houses with Kip and his family. I wasn't feeling very good and the kids were tired so we decided to go to family dollar and get our own supplies and make ginger bread houses at Grandma Donna's. We didn't have the cute little kits that people buy now days so we did our best with what we had.
