Yesterday Shayna stayed home from school. She was soooo sick Saturday night and all of Sunday. She had the stomach flu and I have never seen her so sick. She threw up around 30 times. She was so dehydrated that she was just heaving and when she would cry she hardly had tears and she hadn't gone to the bathroom for hours and hours. I was getting scared and told Tyler if she threw up one more time we were going to the hospital. We were finally able to get her to take a few sips of Gatorade and she was able to keep that down. She fell asleep for about an hour and a half and when she woke up she drank about a cup of Gatorade. That made a world of difference. She was able to keep it down and started feeling so much better. I was very thankful, that was getting way to scary.
I kept her home from school on Monday because she still hadn't eaten and didn't want to eat any breakfast. Around afternoon she was able to eat some crackers and drink some sprite. She started getting some of her energy back and wanted to help me iron.
Go for it I said. I think I am training this girl well. She loves to cook, she always helps when I clean and now she loves to iron.
She makes it very hard for me to send her to school. I wish I could keep her home always. She is such a good helper!
Love you Shay!!

Soccer tournament number 2
Britton had another soccer tournament in Phoenix. This time my Parents, Grandma and Brother were able to make it. We decided to make a little vacation of it. My Dad got us all hotel rooms and we stayed the weekend.
The night we got there we took the kids out to Olive Garden for a nice pasta dinner. Good carbs before a bunch of soccer games.
Aunt Diane was able to make one of Britton's games. We were so glad she could be there. This is the first time she has seen Britton play and he got two goals....Yay!
It was a little cold this weekend but it was still nice to be able to be outside in January!
The kids played two games on Saturday......
And won them both!!!!
And of course you can't go to a soccer game with out a Pina Colada snow cone.
Saturday night we had dinner at Aunt Diane's house. Thank you for having us. We had a lot of fun and dinner was amazing!
We had to leave a little early so we could get Britton into bed. He needs all the energy he can get. We had another big soccer filled day on Sunday.
The boys had one game to play, if they won that game they got to go into the playoffs for first and second place. And wouldn't you know it.....they WON!!!!
So off to the playoffs......
I think this was the most nervous I have ever been while watching Britton play soccer. They wanted the win so bad!
This game was sooooo INTENSE! The teams were very well matched. Both teams played so hard and in the end.......
WE WON!!!! Our boys (the rough riders) took 1st place. The score was 4-3.
Grandma was very excited and proud!
Yeah!!! That made all the money spent on the weekend worth it.....right Dad?
Good job Rough Riders, we are proud of every one of you!!!
Shayna got some really exciting news at this game as well. I took her to a soccer clinic to find out where her skill level is and try to get her on a team. The Coaching Director invited her to play with the U10 girls. That means she is playing with and against 9 year olds. She is only 7 and is very tiny compared to the other girls but she is having so much fun with it. I can't wait until they start playing in tournaments. The best part about it is that she is playing on the same level as Britton, he is on the U10 boys team and they practice at the same time and on the same field. Now I can drop them off and have some alone time to read in my car for an hour and a half....WAHOO!
Good work Shay, you are going to be awesome!

Britton's first soccer tournament in Arizona
Britton was invited to play in a one day tournament in Deer Valley Arizona. It was a 3 v 3 tournament so only five kids were invited. Four of them were from his team. We were all so excited to get back into soccer.
They played four games in one day. We were not expecting too much from his team, only because they have never all played together. But they ended up doing AWESOME!!
My favorite picture of the day.
The boy's took second place. I was so proud of all of them.

Can you believe it is January and we are playing outside.....LOVE IT!!
And just because I couldn't help myself I had to post this picture.
When was the last time you saw someone peg their jeans.....hahaha!

SuRpRiSe!!!!
I have the BEST husband, kids and friends EVER! Tyler threw me a surprise party. I had no idea. Between Evie and Tyler they pulled off the best surprise in history. I can't believe my kids didn't give it away.
Evie and Tyler have been lying to me for weeks. It's funny to find out everything they have been lying about just to keep things secret.
I can't even begin to tell you how much these people mean to me. It's hard to believe that I have only known them for a couple of months. It's seems like we have been friends forever.
Thank you so much to those who came. A huge thank you to Evie and Luis for putting so much effort into making this a special day and an even bigger thank you to Tyler and my kids.....I love you all so much!!
Can you believe this was before any alcohol...Haha!
My most amazing vampire cake made by Evie. Isn't she amazing. And she knows me so well.
After we cut the cake the girls did my hair with the roses. They did a great job!

As if it wasn't enough to just show up for me they gave me the most amazing gifts as well. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

I do love my Kitchen aid!!!
I got a kitchen aid mixer for Christmas and for my Birthday I got the pasta attachment. I have been so busy making all kinds of stuff. I wish I would have taken pictures of everything. So far I have made 4 loaves of bread, a few batches of cookies, the most delicious cinnamon rolls
and pasta for our spaghetti dinner.
The best gift EVER!

Happy New Years!!.....With the Roarks.
We had such a fun New Years this year. In the year's past we never stayed up until midnight. But this year we made it! Thanks to the Roark's. My very good friend Kim lives in Phoenix. I was so excited to move here because I knew I had a friend close by. It made the move a lot easier knowing she was here.
The girls gave pedicures to every one....
And then beautifully styled every one's hair.....
And in no time it was midnight!
We woke up early the next morning to go to the Out of Africa Wildlife Park.
This park is not like a zoo. This park takes in abused animals and animals that have been abandoned. You get to get so much closer to the animals, it's very cool and I highly recommend you check this place out.
After we walked around for a bit we climbed aboard our private safari truck. This was so worth the money. We got to go on a tour of the whole park, our driver would get out and feed the animals and we got little crackers to feed some of the animals as well. Definitely the highlight of the trip!
Cutest little baby zebra ever!
We were told to stay away from this guy. I guess zebra's are not as nice as they look. They bite and attack. They are actually kind of scary....but so darn cute!
He just wanted a cookie.
We got to give the giraffes some cookies. Some people in our party thought it would be fun to feed the giraffes from their Mouthe's. Yummy slobbery kisses that left a string of saliva.....YUCK!
We were told to be careful with this guy.
Because if your not.....this will happen.
That ostrich bites! And again some people in our party thought it would be fun to let him bite them. Quite a few people went home with scratches and bruises.....CRAZY!....but very funny.
And we got to feed the Camel's.
Apparently Kaden didn't get enough kisses from the giraffe....silly boy.
We went to the Tiger splash show after our tour. They don't train their tigers so they never know what kind of show they will have. You just get what you get. It was sooo cool! I don't think I would be brave enough to get in the cage with them.
Then we got to go see the snake. I'm not sure why everyone wanted to go see the snake but I played it cool and went along.
Kaden was picked from the crowed to go hold the snake.....how lucky is he?
When the snake show was over the crowed was invited to go in and pet the snake. Everyone went but me. Haha! I stayed back to take pictures!
This is an amazing park and we had so much fun!
Beautiful!!
And since we had so much fun with the Roark's we decided to let the kids take a day off school and go hiking.....we weren't pressured at all!
The awesome Roark children taught me what planking is. Aren't they the coolest!
These two got along sooo good. Shayna was so sad when they had to go home. She really misses Kali.
Have you ever seen such strong girls. I haven't.
Kevin and Tanner thought it would be really cool to start a fire with no matches and then Tyler had to get in on it. They never got it going.
On our hike back to the car Tanner and Kaden said there was a water moccasin. I was so scared to walk over there but I didn't want to show my fear so I went anyway.
Silly boys!! They crack me up.
Thank you so much for coming guys. We had so much fun and can't wait to see you again!
