Soccer tournament number 2

Britton had another soccer tournament in Phoenix. This time my Parents, Grandma and Brother were able to make it. We decided to make a little vacation of it. My Dad got us all hotel rooms and we stayed the weekend.
The night we got there we took the kids out to Olive Garden for a nice pasta dinner. Good carbs before a bunch of soccer games.

Aunt Diane was able to make one of Britton's games. We were so glad she could be there. This is the first time she has seen Britton play and he got two goals....Yay!

It was a little cold this weekend but it was still nice to be able to be outside in January!

The kids played two games on Saturday......

And won them both!!!!

And of course you can't go to a soccer game with out a Pina Colada snow cone.

Saturday night we had dinner at Aunt Diane's house. Thank you for having us. We had a lot of fun and dinner was amazing!

We had to leave a little early so we could get Britton into bed. He needs all the energy he can get. We had another big soccer filled day on Sunday.
The boys had one game to play, if they won that game they got to go into the playoffs for first and second place. And wouldn't you know it.....they WON!!!!
So off to the playoffs......
I think this was the most nervous I have ever been while watching Britton play soccer. They wanted the win so bad!
This game was sooooo INTENSE! The teams were very well matched. Both teams played so hard and in the end.......
WE WON!!!! Our boys (the rough riders) took 1st place. The score was 4-3.
Grandma was very excited and proud!

Yeah!!! That made all the money spent on the weekend worth it.....right Dad?

Good job Rough Riders, we are proud of every one of you!!!

Shayna got some really exciting news at this game as well. I took her to a soccer clinic to find out where her skill level is and try to get her on a team. The Coaching Director invited her to play with the U10 girls. That means she is playing with and against 9 year olds. She is only 7 and is very tiny compared to the other girls but she is having so much fun with it. I can't wait until they start playing in tournaments. The best part about it is that she is playing on the same level as Britton, he is on the U10 boys team and they practice at the same time and on the same field. Now I can drop them off and have some alone time to read in my car for an hour and a half....WAHOO!
Good work Shay, you are going to be awesome!
