Our Weekend......

Was not that exciting but it seemed so busy. Friday was the busiest day by far. Tyler took Britton to school so I could get the ironing done. It only took me about a half hour to iron everything that I needed to and then Shayna and I got ready for the day.

First it was off to pick up Shane. We had to run some errands. We went to Walgreen's for hand sanitizer. I like their hand sanitizer the best. It's only four dollars for a big bottle of it and it was rated one of the top three in the news. Then we went to Michael's crafts to get some ribbon and hair clips. My new thing is making Shayna's hair bows. We will see how that turns out. Then we went grocery shopping. Shane wanted some food from Atlantis Burger so we stopped by there then we dropped Shane off and got his groceries put away then ran home and put all of our groceries away. I made a little snack for Shay and it was off to pick up Britton at 1:15 from school. It was an early out week because of Parent, Teacher conference. We ran back home and grabbed Britton a snack and then we were off again....back to the school for Parent, Teacher conference at 2:00.

Of course Britton is doing very well in school. He got all 4's on his report card (4 being the highest) His Teacher, Mrs. Webster said she doesn't have any complaints about him and he isn't lacking in any of the subjects. She has the Parent and the Student write down a goal that they will work on for the semester, Britton said he wanted to get better at math. Mrs. Webster didn't have any suggestions because he is already so advanced in this area. He knows how to figure out times tables. I still struggle with that. So our goal is to count money. He knows how to count the same coins (Penny's = 1, nickles = 5 etc.) So we are mixing it up, one quarter plus two dimes = ? I think he will catch on to this pretty fast, he has a sharp little mind and I am so proud of him.

We were back home by 2:30 and had to get ready for pictures by 3:15. (the reason I was ironing so early in the morning). Charlene (the photographer and family member) got to our house and we drove up to Mueller Park Canyon. It was so beautiful but of course when we got there the wind started blowing and the light rain came. I guess we will see how Shay's hair looks. I think it might look a little stringy in the photo's because of the weather. I will post pictures once I get them. After the pictures were done we went to Basken Robins for some Ice Cream. Thank you Charlene, for everything, the Halloween bags filled with treats for the kids, taking the kids pictures and for buying us all ice cream. My kids adore you!!

We got home about 5:30 and picked up Tyler then we were off again to buy a computer Armoire. We got it off of KSL for 50 bucks it's black and very cute, I love it. We had to stop and buy dinner from Wendy's on the way home. We were way to hungry to wait for dinner and I was way to tired to cook. We got home and got the Armoire set up, bathed the kids, put them in bed and I crashed on the couch and watched TV. I'm glad this day is over.

Saturday.....
I didn't even get dressed today, neither did the kids. It was cold and rainy so we stayed inside all day. I was using my crock pot to make dinner and I had a new crock pot recipe for a chocolate cake that I wanted to make so Tyler ran to Walmart and bought me a new crock pot so now I have two. LOVE IT! I started making hair bows...I suck at it. Hopefully I get better, I'm not even going to post pictures. Yah, it's that bad. Jonny (Tylers brother) came over and brought his two kids, Beckham and Mckye. They played for a few hours and had a blast. I love it when the little cousins get together they are so cute. I can't believe I didn't take pictures.

Sunday......
I was supposed to scrub my house. But that didn't happen. My parents bought us a huge box of peaches (thank you Mom and Dad, they are delicious) So after I ran to the store for some fruit pectin and freezer jars, I went home and Tyler and I washed, peeled and diced peaches for HOURS. I made a peach crisp (like apple crisp only with peaches) and some freezer jam and a whole bunch of diced peaches that I put in the freezer for later use. Once I got the kitchen cleaned up, and believe me it was a MESS, I started in on laundry, now I am all caught up on laundry and its even all put away, Success. Tyler and I have been a little nervous about Shays fan that we installed a week ago. So we decided it would be a good idea to make it a little more secure so Tyler went up in the attic and installed a 2x4 so we could screw into that. We got finished with that about 8:30, bathed the kids and got them to bed. Tyler and I watched Amazing Race then went to bed.

WHEW!! I'm glad this weekend is over.

A funny story...
First I must explain. I hate snakes, I am scared to death of them, seriously scared. Tyler loves snakes and even had them while we were dating. I told him I couldn't marry him if he kept them. I couldn't live with them in my house. So he got rid of them (that's why we are married now). Britton and Tyler talk about snakes all the time and now Britton wants one and is always asking to go to the pet store to look at them.
So now that you know the history. Here's the story.
While we were at Mueller Park Canyon taking pictures we were walking passed a picnic table towards the stream. I saw a snake, it was long and skinny and moved fast. I was very calm, I didn't want to scare Shayna. I thought Britton would be fine. I very calmly (I was shocked at how calm I was) said "Britton there's a snake, watch out". He started walking backwards thinking the snake was in front of him. I said "Britton Stop! Your going to step on him" When Britton turned around the snake slithered right passed his foot. It scared Britton so bad, he let out the loudest scream I have ever heard and Shayna jumped up on the picnic table and wouldn't get down. He kept saying over and over "I don't want a snake anymore, I don't like them, please don't get me a snake". I was laughing so hard. Britton has only seen snakes in the pet store when they are not moving, just curled up under rocks. I'm so glad he saw one slithering around. We won't be having snakes in our house.
