Hillbilly Festival

We went to the Hot air balloon and kite festival today. I can't even begin to explain how lame it was. There were maybe five kites, most of them not worth looking at and we never even saw a hot air balloon. Apparently it was too windy for the hot air balloons, and I get it, but couldn't they at least have something for people to see. There were a lot of booths there but only one offered gifts (hot air balloon wind chimes) the rest of the booths were food. And don't even get me started on the people who were there. Where are they from?

This is my favorite picture of the day.

Britton fell a sleep on the drive. Uncle Shane is keeping Britton from flopping over. So cute!
And of course I had to get a picture of Shayna.

We stopped at KFC on our way so we could have a little picnic which is always fun.

They did have a rock climbing wall which Britton really wanted to try out.

Waiting in line.

Attempting the climb. He didn't make it to the top, he started to get a little scared. He could do it if he wasn't so afraid of heights.

These are the kites we saw. They were actually pretty cool.

Some more kites, and some spectators.

Shayna got to go on the most expensive two minute horse ride around the dumpster.

But she loved it so that makes it worth it.
And of course what would a festival be without great big blow up bouncy things. My kids actually love them.

And that's it.

We spent a lot of money and made memories....good or bad? Shane said it best. "Not so much fun, what was I supposed to do?"
