Oh, there you are!

For a while there I thought I had misplaced my blog, not to worry, it's been found. Actually it was right here all along, right where I left it, patiently waiting to be updated!

We have actually kept ourselves pretty busy the last few weeks. My parents had a sleep over with my kids and my Cousin Chance came in town so we took advantage and invited some friends and we all went to Keys on Main. It was so much fun! I know this is very late but thanks again Mom and Dad for keeping the kids! Of course Grandpa spoiled them with toys because they were such good kids for them.

Here we are at Keys on Main.

Sunday I went to pick the kids up from my parents and Shayna wasn't feeling very well. Monday morning Tyler took her to the Doctor and She had strep throat. Looks like we are in for another tonsillectomy in the near future. Poor little girl!

The next weekend we had a Bar-B-Q with our good friends Ryan and Stephanie and their four kids. We had not seen them for about two years so we were very excited to have them over and the kids all had a blast playing with each other. I wish I would have gotten pictures but I was too busy enjoying myself.

Exactly one week after Shayna was put on medication for her strep throat she broke out in hives. They were everywhere. Neck, chest, arms, under arms, stomach, back, bum, back of legs. This picture shows just a small portion of it. We took her right in to the Dr. and she is definitely allergic to penicillin. Poor thing takes after her Mom. She had to miss another day of school because of this. That's three missed days within the first 4 weeks of school. It's going to be a long year. She laid around in her underwear all day because clothes were too irritating. At her Doctor appointment they gave her a flu shot. Three days after getting the flu shot she got the flu. I seriously don't know how much more this poor little girl can take. Hopefully she is getting it all out of her system now so that she can be healthy the rest of the year. We were supposed to go to the condo, I had everything packed and in the car, we were minutes away from leaving and she started throwing up. It was heartbreaking having to unpack the car. I was really looking forward to a weekend getaway. Hopefully we can do it soon before the weather gets too bad. Thankfully Britton has stayed well through all of this. Hopefully that continues. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Speaking of Britton I got to help his class with reading tests. It was a lot of fun and I am looking forward to doing it more. They take a test on their book that they are reading every Friday on the computer. When Britton got home from school that afternoon he told me I did a great job and he was really proud of me! It made me feel good that he was glad I was there. I'm going to be really sad when he doesn't want me around anymore. I am volunteering as much as I can in Britton and Shayna's classrooms now because I know there will be a time when they don't want me there.....

Through all of this we have been continuing with soccer practices, soccer games and ballet lessons. Hopefully October will be a better month for Shay and Britton will continues to stay healthy. Only time will tell......

I'm glad that Shayna is okay. Emilee is allergic to Penicillin too and it's a scary way to find out with the hives and swelling and everything! I can't believe that Ryan and Steph have another baby- last tally I knew of was 3. Did they get another girl or do they have two of each now? I'm happy for them, they are brave considering what happened. You and Tyler are so cute together in your pic!~ Keep the pictures and post coming! miss ya :)

you and Ty make such a cute couple, referring to the first picture. I'm sorry your little girl is sick. I love helping in the kids classes also, and yes my boys are too old now so keep doing it while you can.
