Happy Easter!!

We had a really fun Easter under the circumstances!! I will explain the circumstances a little later in the post......
This is the first year we didn't have my Brother and Parents decorate eggs with us. It was just the four of us this year....three of us really. Tyler watched T.V. We still had fun though. The kids each dyed a dozen eggs and it didn't take very long with no one else to use the colors and to visit.

Saturday the boys went golfing so Shay and I did our hair all pretty and went out to Dairy Queen!

After that we went to the grocery store and bought a cheese cake to take to our friends house. They invited us over for dinner and we took the dessert. We also went to Walmart to get her glasses fixed. We had a lot of fun. I enjoy spending time with her one on one. We need to do it more often.

Easter morning the kids woke up at 6:45 am. Waaaay to early for me but they were so excited we had to drag ourselves out of bed.

Later that day we met a bunch of our friends at the park for a Bar-b-q and a Egg hunt.

So here is the circumstances I mentioned earlier. We got to the park before anybody else did so that we could set up and make sure that we got a table. Britton told me and Tyler that nobody in his class believed in the Easter Bunny. Shayna heard him and said she didn't know if she believed or not. I kept trying to ignore them and change the subject but they kept asking. They even went as far as saying please don't lie to us, just tell us the truth, we trust you guys. UGH!! Talk about HARD!! I didn't want them to not believe already. I wasn't ready for that. So....we told them the truth, it was hard and they were a little sad. Britton said "well what about Santa then". I told him today we were just talking about the Easter Bunny. I don't know why it is so hard for me to let them grow up....I want them to believe forever.
And since it was so hard for us to tell the truth and they were feeling a little sad Tyler and I decided we needed to make this an extra special Easter for them. They have been wanting these little darlings for a while now. I have said no a thousand times but today they got me.

And yes....I am very afraid of them......

Their names are Tayo and Hedwig.

HaPpY EaStEr!!!

holidays are sadly not as fun with out the big family around:( My boys believed in santa and the easter bunny until they were 13 or so, they were probably just playing along with me so they didn't hurt my feelings:) we need to get together soon. want to meet at the outlets some time soon? Or maybe we can meet for dinner somewhere in the middle.
