I heart Utah!

Tyler had to work at the I heart Utah Festival that was going on on Saturday, so, Shane and I decided we would pack up the kids and go to the festival at Thanksgiving Point.

All of the kids enjoyed sitting in the helicopter and pretending to fly.

It was nice that even though Ty had to work we still got to spend some time with him.

Britton and Shayna wanted to play in all of the bouncie's they had there but it was so hot they didn't last long.

my favorite part of the whole festival was sitting in the shade with the kids while they ate snow cones and cotton candy watching Shane ride a bike.

He actually figured it out right away. If I would have had an extra thousand bucks in my pocket I would have got it for him. He was doing turns and started going so fast, I thought he was going to run in to all of the other parked bikes but at the last second he slammed on the brakes and came to screeching halt...black skid marks and all. It was awesome.

Saturday evening we set up our tent in the backyard to clean it out. The kids decided they wanted to sleep out there, all night, by themselves.

We read some story's to get them ready for bed, and then it was lights out. We were taking care of my parents dog while they were out of town so I put Doc out in the tent with them. I felt better having him out there with them for some reason. Big mistake, this dog's a sissy.

Someone let off a fire work and Doc went ballistic. He was scratching frantically to get out of the tent. It scared the heck out of Shayna and she was screaming, SCREAMING! for me. She was screaming so loud and so frantically that she couldn't hear me telling her we were on our way. Yes Tyler was hot on my heals. She scared the heck out of us. I unzipped the tent and Doc about knocked me over trying to get out. Shay was crying and Britton was standing there like it was no big deal. I got Shay calmed down and they wanted to stay out and give it try. I took Doc in the house with me.

Ten minutes later.....

I hear Britton calling for me "Mom, we need you". Tyler and I get back out to the tent and unzip it and Shay is standing there with her blanket and pillow saying "I'm DONE, I am SO over this, this is RIDICULOUS, I'm going inside". I asked her what was wrong and she said it was too noisy, she could hear the helicopters and the trains and all the bugs. Apparently camping in the city is not for her.

Britton agreed it was too noisy and decided he would stick with camping in the mountains.

O'well. Hopefully this will make for great memories.
