Where to begin?

I have allowed myself to get behind on blogging, now I have to play catch up and try to remember everything we have been up to. A couple of weeks ago we (Tyler, me, Britton, Shay, Mom and Dad) went to Anelope Island and hiked the Dooly Knobb trail. It's a pretty steep climb but we all made it. The kids practically ran the whole way. Of course Britton and Shay had to climb every huge rock in site! I LOVE this picture of Tyler and Shay! After the hike we went to the ranch and had a picnic. Then wandered around for a bit.

It was the first warm day we have had in a while and we were all having spring fever so bad. This ended up being the perfect day for a hike and a picnic. Last week Kim was in town so on Thursday I met up with Kim, Amy, Jill and Melissa for dinner at Robintino's. It's always a good time with those girls.

Last weekend I got a phone call from Tyler when he was on his way home from work telling me to pack my bags because he got us a jacuzzi suite in Wendover. I was so excited! I needed to get away and this was perfect. Thanks Ty, your the best!

While we were in Wendover my parents had a sleepover with the kids. They did all kinds of fun things, including bowling.

Since then we have had the last of the indoor soccer games and started outdoor training. We don't know when the first outdoor game will be but I am so looking forward to it. Shayna has also been begging us to put her in soccer. She has never wanted to before but since she went to the soccer store with Ty and Britton and saw all the cute girly soccer stuff she is hooked. I guess we will see what happens with that.

The kids have been continuing with their swimming lessons. They are in session two but the swim coach was so impressed with their swimming ability that he has been teaching them level three. They have two more lessons then we will see if they passed. If so, they go on to level four. I can't believe how much they have improved. Tyler and I have not wanted their lessons to go to waste so we have been taking them swimming as much as we can. This last Saturday we took the kids swimming. Jonny, Beckham and Mckye were able to meet us there. The kids had a blast! RSL also had a game on Saturday night. It wasn't televised and in order to watch it you have to purchase the MLS direct kick package for your TV. We have just never done that so we had planned on going out to dinner to a restaurant that had the game on. We didn't end up needing to do that because my Dad was kind enough to purchase it for us. So we ordered Chinese food and went to my Parents house for dinner and the RSL game. RSL won 4 -1. It was so much fun and my parents got to see how excited and LOUD Britton and Ty can be. I hope they don't regret purchasing this for us because WE WILL BE BACK! Hahaha!

Quick story:

Saturday morning before we went swimming I had poured myself a cup of coffee. I don't like coffee much unless it has a ton of creamer and sugar in it. By the time I added all of my creamer in I needed to reheat it. I stuck it in the microwave for one minute. When I looked over I saw that it was boiling so I took it out of the microwave and went to stir it.....that was the biggest mistake of my life. Little did I know that it would EXPLODE. As soon as I stuck the spoon in it it exploded all over my face and hands and of course all over the kitchen. It was the biggest mess but I was more concerned about my face. It hurt so bad. I immediately stuck my face under cold water. Fortunately it wasn't bad for having boiling water splashed on me. I have a spot on my neck and my ear that are still a little sensitive but nothing major. My face was red for a little bit and for a couple of days it felt tight and sunburned but no big deal considering what it could have been. It scared me more then hurt me that's for sure. Thank you Tyler for cleaning up the mess.

Moral of the story...be extremely careful when putting liquids in the microwave. I have been a little nervous of the microwave since then.

P.S.

I have no idea why the top of the page looks like it does. I could not for the life of me fix it....annoying.
